This stand is a great happy medium between the cheapest stands and fully professional stands. I think the head can deliver smooth pans at close range, but not at longer reach. For example, I was using this with a Canon XF405 in the back of a 600-seat theater. At that range, this head proved a bit jerky when following people, but it was easy to set up fixed shots. I also found that there are a lot of places to tighten and loosen the stand for panning. This is good, but like anything, it will take some time for you to get used to it so you can make adjustments quickly. The first few events, I found myself searching for a mystery tightening tool. You'll get used to where they are. So, I originally bought one of these stands to try. I have now bought them for my 3 cameras, and use them on most projects. I only break out a nicer stand when I need smoother panning shots. These Small Rigs are simple, lightweight, and if one breaks, it isn't the end of the world. I did break one of these stands, but it wasn't the stand's fault. I tripped and as I was falling, I protected the camera, rather than the tripod. I was totally fine sacrificing the tripod in that case. So, this is surprisingly good value at this price point, providing much better performance than an entry level tripod, without the cost of higher end tripods. It doesn't quite measure up to stands 3x more expensive, but it does let you save those for events where you really need it. :)

Solid tripod that turns into a monopod, no complains from me. Had this thing for a few years. Only wish it was more compact, but nothing is every perfect!

I love this tripod! It's easy to fit back in the carrying case, although you NEED TO REMOVE THE FLUID HEAD if you want to zip all the way closed. Hard to do? No. Unnecessary inconvenience? Yeah, they could have made the bag just a few inches longer and the whole thing would fit. But the critical qualities are there so we're still giving it 5 stars! The fluid head works as it should. Nice and smooth action for videography! Height limits are typical but still maintains sturdiness when fully extended. All around good quality and not worried about it tipping over on unlevel ground or because of wind!

The tripod is pretty decent for a lightweight travel tripod but when the fluid head is installed you cannot put this back in the bag. Which is really dumb. You have to remove the fluid head from the tripod each time you want to put this back in the included travel bag. For this reason, it’s a return.

It's small, light, and for once, I can actually mount a monopod foot on it! If you're looking for a really small tripod with a video head that isn't massive, this is the one to get. I used it with a Lumix G85 camera at a conference and it worked great. My only complaint is that the level bubble is hidden by the camera once it's mounted. There's no stabilizer due to the type of tripod this is, so it's not the most stable, but I don't count that against it since every tripod of this style is that way so you should know what you're getting into. Also, lots of tripods convert to monopods, but unlike most, this one lets you unscrew the foot and the threaded hole is the correct size to take a folding monopod chicken foot.

I like the way the legs adjust and it's compact size fits in my backpack with just the head sticking out. One thing I don't love is the quick connect base. It's a little cheesy the way the screw connects to the camera or in my case the iPhone cage. It has a flip up piece of medal but with the small rig cage you have to really tighten it down and I had to use the Allen tool to get grip which bent the flip up piece. All in all I would say this is worth $75 max. I don't remember if they said it's a fluid head but it feels slightly binding.

First main issue is the fact that the swivel arm cannot be moved or folded making this product really annoying if you need something to fold/unfold quickly. Should have sent it back right away but needed it for a shoot. Yesterday - barely 5 months later- the monopod leg just fell off. Not in the spot you would separate it to use as a monopod, just to be clear on that, but on the main base the legs are attached to the main part. It separated from the tripod's base without any previous wobbling or visible issues. Turns out the legs are screwed on with a simple setup that apparently can come lose at any time. In my case it fell out during basic transportation (no shaking, or bumpy roads involved -just simple transportation on a bike). Arriving on site the screw was simply gone. Thank God it didn't happen while having a camera on it but it very easily could have. I guess the only plus for this tripod are the locks to adjust height since they are metal (vs a lot of the plastic ones out there) but I guess that doesn't save your equipment! You have been warned.

Solid build, good weight and easy to deploy.

This tripod is very strong considering its also lightweight. Comes with a fluid video head and is very easy to use. It comes with a carry bag which is very strong and sturdy. Multiple adjustments points with easy access. It also can be used as a monopod and has a grip. Functionality is very easy and simple. I would say its value for money at this price point.

I bought this tripod for my camera when taking videos, and sometimes photos around the house. I take videos and photos of my toddler, as a way of documenting his childhood. This tripod is helpful so I can play with him if shooting a video, or take photos without the camera shaking constantly (I don’t have the most steady hands). The tripod is easy to set up to varying heights. The quick release plate is helpful to mount and dismount the camera if I need to put the camera away momentarily and set up again. The built in level is helpful in setting up the camera angle. The built feels solid, and can be easily folded and put away in the carrying bag. Tripod itself is not heavy and not taxing when carried around outdoors.

Usé un tripié por 20 años y se rompió, lo cambié por este por las reseñas tan buenas que tenía, no me decepcionó para nada, estable, fuerte, alto, además el cabezal te permite hacer ajustes precisos y movimientos suaves. Lo recomiendo mucho.
