Franklin Sports Replacement Ladderball Bolas

The string on the original ones broke but these work great.

Perfect replacement for my ladder golf set as the cords started fraying on the originals.

I have been wanting to get a ladderball game, but instead bought these “replacement” ball sets and will build my own ladders. These ball sets are solid. I bought other yard sporting items from this manufacturer so knew the materials would be more than adequate. 2 suggestions: see pic. I tightened the knots then did a better burn on the end of the cord, seems they did the ends before tying the know. Hitting the end close to the knot will lock the knot from opening up. Second: don’t leave these out in the rain. Any cord won’t last if they get wet and don’t dry (ie rot) . But if they do, you can always get new cord anywhere.

First day using these and the balls came off the end of the cord. The cord comes tied with a knot but as you use them, the weight of the balls tightens against the knot and eventually the cord passes through. I tried a double knot but that makes the cords shorter by at least an inch each end .. shorter than the recommended length. So I put the ball back on, folded the knot and melted it a bit using a lighter. This makes a hard knot. Not sure how long this will last. Upon failure I will look for a different cord and maybe use a small washer to provide a more secure knot restraint.
