I read a lot about these bearings having short life from the factory. I don't believe it's the bearing's fault. When you install the drum in the tub you are handling something around 2 feet in diameter in a 2.25 foot hole, but the shaft is only about 1/2" diameter. A few hundreths of an inch of mis-alignment during installation could damage the seal, allowing a tiny bit of wash water to get past it, leading to short bearing life. I suspect alignment is as difficult at the factory as it is in the field. Be very careful when installing it to not damage the seal.

Installed this bearing kit and it was good as new. 3 weeks later it started making noise again

Fit all seemed to be fine. After 3 months of use the bearings are rough and squeaky. Will have to unstack machines and replace bearings and seal again and hope that new ones will be better quality. Don’t waste your time and money and try to find one better quality replacement parts.

This is a challenging install because you have to pretty much disassemble the entire washer. Once you get it apart, replacing the bearings and having them seated level and in the right spot was no easy task. The bearings worked perfect. It is a great replacement part, but the installation is not for the faint of heart.
