Works exactly as intended and provides accurate readings. Verified using an infrared thermometer for confirmation. Helps maintain the fire at the correct operating temperature with consistent, reliable results. Easily used. Size is perfect. Fits perfectly between my to fans.

Seems Consistently Accurate
This thermometer attaches securely to the flu on my wood stove and lets me know at a glance how effective and efficient it is performing.

Efficient thermometer
We really like this simple & efficient thermometer for our woodstove. Being able to see the temperature in real time helps us keep our fires more evenly regulated. We have just purchased another one for a different stove. Thank you for a good product!

Seems to work ok

Readable
They work well and replace old ones that were barely readable

Cheap and inaccurate
This has never worked right. Always says it’s 600 degrees or higher when you barely light the fire.

Reading is far off unfortunatly
*Update - The Seller contacted me when I made my issues clear. After checking with me about the various tests I had performed to make sure the device was defective or not; they were prompt at offering a replacement or refund. Since I had already ordered another unit I took the refund. With any mass produced item there are going to be mistakes that show up. I feel the quality is fine in general but there will always be cases such as mine when there isn't a test of every individual unit. I would still recommend the unit to try as most seem to work just fine; just make sure you order in time before it becomes a real need just in case something goes wrong with your particular one. Increased to 3 stars since I can't attest to the product, but the customer service was good.* Got the thermometer today. Built a fire in the wood stove on a chilly 44 degree night. Fire has been roaring, it's over 80 in the room and climbing, BUT the thermometer will NOT climb above 250 degrees. My thermo-electric fan is spinning so fast I can barely see the blades, and the kettle will boil in no time but still it won't climb. I've tried opening the flue wide open and leaving it that way (got the wood to spare at the moment) and the thermometer won't move above ~250 degrees. Tried moving it to the top of the stove and compared it to one of my grilling thermometer and the grill thermometer is reading over 400 degrees. I wouldn't mind it if it was a little off but 150 degrees is a bit more than an acceptable margin of error. I liked the colors of this one but if it's a manufacturing quality issue it might be a better idea to try one of the more expensive options.
