Is this a brass insert or a brass finish on a steel insert?

Per a magnet ALL Zippo made in USA inserts I have checked are steel, including my factory Gold plated Zippo with true gold plated insert and a brass finished insert I checked. Unless marked "Sterling" or 18K Gold the cases are Brass with varying finish. No idea about the 18K gold $11,800 Zippo's insert. A search of the Zippo web site for "Stainless steel" did not list any lighters.

description says brass "finish". So if not solid brass, what is below the "finish"?....stainless steel?...or maybe regular steel prone to rusting?

It's stainless so that that the harder steel shell does not shave away the insert. So it's basically brass plated. I've had it for about a year and have had no issues with rusting or any corrosion.
