Best Iโve ever used.
Best felting mat Iโve used. So much better than the synthetic ones. Yes, the work does stick to it but felting ALWAYS sticks to the mat if you donโt lift it regularly as you work. I actually find it sticks less to this mat than to any other Iโve used. I would definitely recommend and use no other from now on.

Great needle felting mat
I love this felting mat, after using foam and a rice mat this is by far the best, nice and firm and I don't find my makes felt to it so much if you constantly move your makes, like you should. Really good size and great value for money compared to other felt mats, I can see this mat lasting a long time.

Definately would recomend
Definately worth getting. Had ine of these before but gave it to a friend so had to but another. Last so much longer than just ordinary foam. Cheap foam pads are OK but you end up using so many which is a waste on the environment. Highly recomend these pads and the weight of them means they stay still on your lap when felting. I do a serious amount of felting and so need something that will be a friend for life. This product ticks all the boxes. Woolbuddy is a perfect name! The only reason I gave it 4 stars not 5 is the colour advertised was pink and the one I received was a light peach colour. Not a problem but I prefer the image to match the product I receive. โโโโโ so to sum up I'd give 5 stars to this product.

BEST mat EVER
Absolutely LOVE this mat.If you are into needle felting you must ditch those awful foam blocks that seem to come with all the kits etc and buy a wool buddy. The difference you feel in felting is amazing, I hate the horrible โbounceโ you get on foam mats. Thereโs no bounce with a wool buddy and the needle seems to penetrate your work better.I only have one of these and clean up the leftover wool with a marigold washing up glove, quick wipe over and itโs good as new.Sometimes my wool buddy getting dents and creases in it from where Iโve concentrated my work, just give it a clean with a marigold and steam iron it... sorted!People have complained that they felt their project to the mat, Iโd recommend just lighten your touch a bit and that shouldnโt be an issue.I only use my wool buddy and would never change that. I think they will last years too

Best felting pad
Best felting pad I have used, provides protection, good working platform and confidence.

Lovely upgrade to a foam mat
Really like this, nice and firm and I can sit with it on a tray on my lap. I do use a scrap piece of cotton fabric on the top so I can easily pull it up and remove any wool fibres that have gone into the mat.

Really good to use
I had been using foam.which degrades so quickly and is impossible to clean. Now I've moved to this I will never go back, yes it's a bit more expensive but its SO worth it. It's easy to clean, it wears well and creates a stronger base to felt on. Perfect for stencils which I found impossible to do on foam. I honestly am so glad I found this.
User
I really love this
I was concerned that this mat might "hang on" to my felting too much and get full of tufts of all the colours I was using. But it doesn't! Yes, you have to gently lever your work off, as you do with any other felting surface - but this one is the best I have used. My rice-filled hessian bag seemed better than the foam, when I first got it, but this is now by far my most favourite felting surface. Very comfortable to use and the perfect size. The first thing I made on it was this Guinea pig!

Perfect size mat for projects small and large
Excellent quality, great size and generally awesome. Much much better than foam mats, it doesn't come apart or lose density. Highly recommended bit of kit for needle felters.

Have to use it correctly. Perfect and economical.
I am a beginning felter and I tend to learn by trial and error rather than viewing online tutorials as I should. I purchased the brush type felting pad, a foam one and the Wool Buddy. I hated the brush type immediately, it seemed wobbly and insecure. The foam type was OK but I didn't like the feel or sound of the needle going in and I knew it couldn't last long. Then I tried the Wool Buddy, XL size. I loved the size, the thickness and the feel of it. It felt secure, it felt steady and no matter how much I punched there were no holes or wear that I could see. My only problem was MY OWN FAULT!. I was making a felted leaf, first time I tried it. Of course, a leaf is a flat piece. I needled away and loved the result. Went to pull up the leaf and it was FIRMLY attached to the Wool Buddy. I ruined one side of the WB pulling and scraping the leaf out of it. I didn't want to give up on the WB because I loved everything else about it. So... I did what I should have, watched a few tutorials and got some good tips and realized I was a felting idiot but one with hope. I started again on the remaining good side of the WB. I cut some squares of tulle netting a little larger than the size of the leaf I wanted to make. I put one piece of tulle on the WB, laid out my wool fibers and put another piece of tulle on top, a felting sandwich of sorts. I started needling but every minute or so, I pulled the leaf all the way off the WB and flipped it over. If the tulle got too many holes, I replaced it. The tulle and the frequent flipping worked like a charm. The leaf pulled away perfectly from both the tulle and the WB leaf. Use the WB right and you will love it! All I have to do now is avoid the ugly side I ruined!

Sturdy and well made
Really sturdy and easy to use. Does the job well especially when using a cloth over it to minimise wool transfer. Very happy with it
