Met my needs. I never knew such a tool existed. All the years I could have been putting up lights but didn't because I didn't know about these light socket outlets! The quality is nice, feels heavy duty for outdoor use. I also like that it has a bit of a tail.

I bought two of these about 4 months ago and I use them in outdoor light fixtures. Neither have let me down yet! Great product!

This little adapter does exactly what it promises. I screwed it into a ceiling socket in my garage and instantly had three grounded outlets available — no extra wiring, no fuss. The build feels solid, the outlets grip plugs well, and the short cord gives a bit of flexibility so the plugs don’t put too much stress on the socket. That said, it’s not made for heavy-duty gear. The rating is 10 amps, so I only use it for things like shop lights, chargers, or a small fan. I wouldn’t run power tools or heaters on it. Also, since it ties into a light fixture, the outlets will turn off if the switch cuts power. Overall, a clever and inexpensive way to get outlets where you normally couldn’t. Just respect its limits and it’ll be a very useful little gadget.

I used this in my porch light to connect an extension cord to my outdoor Christmas lights. I don’t have an outdoor outlet at my apartment so this device solved a major problem for me. Highly recommend it.

This is exactly what I needed! I live in a condo on the third floor so outdoor power is practically nonexistent. I do, however, have an outdoor light that I can switch on or off. This little gadget fit in there perfectly and I now have power on my deck. I got solar powered motion detecting lights since i had to remove my bulb lol!

I received this light socket adapter and looked it over before using it. It appears to be well-made. The plug housings and wires are securely attached and appear to be very durable. However, this light socket adapter could be unsafe to use. This is because the ground (third/round) socket on the female plug end is "floating" (i.e., not connected to anything). It therefore does not provide the safety grounding that a device with a three-prong plug expects. The problem with that is that if the wiring in the device connected to this plug shorts out, it could shock or electrocute the person using the device. I have returned this adapter for a refund and will purchase an adapter that either has the third socket grounded or one that only works with two-prong electrical plugs.

Just what I needed for string lights that I now plug into where the rear wall light bulb used to be.

This was the perfect solution for putting up our Christmas lights. We do not have an outdoor plug in the front of our building but we do have a entrance light. Worked great and was able to turn our lights on with a flick of a switch inside.
