Pleased As Punch
Good price. Had to send first back as it was missing parts (be sure to check when you first receive) but Amazon immediately sent out a new one before I'd even returned the old one (as my rig was sitting at the fixit place running up the meter to install it). I had them install as it needed some modifications and I wanted to ensure it was done securely and sealed well. It was actually only installed top and middle as I have a bumper toolbox mounted in the way of where it would mount at the bottom. They were able to modify and adapt things as needed so I now have a bottom piece that hooks over one of the steps and then comes to rest on the toolbox. Since then I've been up and down it and feel comfortable with it's quality. Be aware it is narrow, but doable to climb with a little care. Was a great addition to my rig after having scratched paint leaning ladders up against it :-(

Good Quality Ladder with a Challenging Installation
The ladder on my Jayco was damaged and needed replaced. This ladder came in an undamaged box and when unpacked seemed of very good quality. It used twice as many fasteners, of the same size as the factory ones, for the critical supports resulting in a very strong ladder if installed in good wood. However, the actual installation is challenging since the instruction sheet is pretty sketchy and brief. You'll need something to make sure it's square with the trailer (I leveled the trailer and then used a level on the ladder). Something to accurately drill the upright pieces for the standoffs (I used a small drill press) and something to accurately cut the ladder uprights as needed since, in my case, it was a bit too long for the trailer. What complicates the installation is that both the upper piece and the the lower piece have special ends. The upper piece has a necked down uprights that the roof handles bolt to and the lower piece has the curved ends that attach to the trailer above the bumper. So, you have to make your cuts somewhere in the middle which may result in some odd spaced rungs. I am happy with the finished installation; it's strong and looks good...though it does have an oddly spaced rung in the middle.

Works great
I cut the bottom off and made a bracket that attaches to my back bumper for the ladder to attach to so my weight is carried by the bumper instead of solely by the wall of the camper. Other than* my modifications, the ladder itself is as expected. You don't want a 100 pound steel ladder weighing down the back of your camper so this is what's available on the market. It's very lightweight and not what you call sturdy...exactly what you want in an RV ladder. I suppose you could find a carbon fiber ladder that would be solid and sturdy and last forever. Of course it would still attach to a flimsy RV wall and would probably cost a million dollars so I went with this one. Works great. I'm 180#'s. Not 180 hashtags. That's the symbol for pound if you're not a millennial. Also, check my use of the word "than". It is used in the proper context. If you would have used the word "then" then please check into the proper use of the words then and than. It is becoming an epidemic people. Let's fix this social illiteracy!

Camper ladder
Doesn't seam like it would be sturdy but once installed it is very sturdy, at time I installed I weighed 350lbs and it's rated 250lbs and held me very well now I've lost alot of weight, so can't wait to try it out this summer.

OK for what it is but could be better with just a few extra mounts
Not a bad price, install is difficult, needs more standoffs and a better set of roof mounts to be more secure. The box it shipped in is the flimsiest cardboard I have seen. It was shredded and parts were sticking out. Somehow the smaller pieces stayed inside. They must get a lot of returns due to the poor packaging. Amazon gave me a discount due to some minor damage and I made it work but be prepared. A good stud finder and a strong magnet will help you find good mounting points. I used the rear bumper as the bottom support. Lots of cutting and mods to make this work. As a replacement for a damaged ladder probably fine since you could use existing mounting points but trying to find secure points in a newer RV with laminate walls is challenging.

Some (alot) assembly required
It took me 3 hrs. To install and I had to get my neighbor to help. 1. Adjust ladder to fit curved roof after you determine placement. Hold ladder level and measure the distance that one foot is off the roof. Cut that distance off the adjoining foot, drill new hole, mount retaining brackets. Do not screw feet to roof yet. 2. Determine from the frame of your camper where you will mount the 4 wall brackets. My stud finder did not locate the frame. I knew there would be framing material around the window so I located two brackets above and two brackets below my window. My window was 31 inches long. I used metal roofing screws with rubber washers. I put sealant on all the feet before mounting. I angled the screws for better holding. Remove screws that secure the black plastic part to the wall brackets. Tape the black plastic to the wall brackets. Now have someone hold the top half of the ladder in place, hold the wall bracket in place between camper and ladder and Mark it. Do this for all four wall brackets if the all mount to the top half of the ladder. Remove ladder and screw wall brackets to camper. 3. Reposition top half of ladder and Mark hold positions to mount ladder to wall bracket. Remove ladder, drill holes, reposition ladder and attach it to wall brackets. 4. Add sealant and attach roof brackets. 5. Now you are ready to attach bottom half of ladder. Hold the bottom ladder in position with it overlapping the upper ladder. Determine where you want the bottom feet to mount on the camper. My bottom feet extended to the bottom of my back wall where there was framing material. It may be easier to tape the bottom half in position. Get the hinge bracket. Hold it against the two overlapping ladders and Mark the upper and lower ladder where the hinge will connect them together. Remember the hinge will insert 5/8 inch in each ladder. Make your mark accordingly. Now use a tube cutter to cut off both ladders. Insert the hinge in the bottom ladder, drill and mount. Assemble bottom half of ladder to top half of the ladder with hinges inserted in top half. Drill and mount top half of hinge to top ladder. Mount bottom feet to camper using screws and sealant. Hint:. Before cutting off ladder check where rungs will be located. Good luck.

Good product for the money. Its flexibility gave me what I needed
This is a good product for the money and the modular nature of the product gave me what I needed. First I should say that I did not mount mine like it is shown in the product photos. Because of where the roof support members are located on my rig (and because I HATED the thought of putting holes in my rubber roof) I decided to mount my unit to the back wall of my rig instead of having the top portion go up and onto the roof. (see photos attached). Installation was pretty simple. It took me about 4 hours but most of that time was spend figuring out how I could make what I had work with, work the way I wanted to since I was improvising. Thankfully the product is very modular and can be mounted in a number of ways based on how creative you are. Mounting to the roof is sturdier for sure since the roof picks up a lot of the load of you standing on the ladder. Since I wasn't doing it that way I had to come up with an alternative way of supporting the downward forces. I decided to mount the lower portion of the ladder on my back bumper to support the vast majority of the load. Then I used the 4 stand-off mounting posts (If they would have given me more than 4 support mounts I would have given this 5 stars) to secure to the back wall, making sure to hit studs behind the metal siding. There was some modification of parts but very easy to do. In the end I wound up with exactly what I was looking for with a modest investment of my time. Small disclaimer: I'm a contractor & mechanic so what I consider "easy modifications" and installation others might find more difficult. But basic tools and common sense goes far with this product.
