Absolute perfection!! I love my Opal ice maker, but refilling the water chamber is a real pain! It makes a lot on of ice but the reservoir isn’t big enough to avoid refilling daily. Enter the amazing side tank!!! It is super easy to set up and attach and it works perfectly! I now only need to fill the tank about every 4-5 days or so. No need to remove the ice basket or guess the water level in the reservoir. I always have ice at the ready and can easily see when the tank needs to be refilled. For me, the price is well worth the added convenience. HIGHLY recommend!!

A must for anyone purchasing the Opal ice maker. Installs easily and keeps from needing to refill frequently - only fill it 1-2 times each week. Should come with the unit automatically.

For anyone that has an opal ice maker, this is a great addition. It's easy to clean and allows for not only greater water storage but it's how I refill the entire system without having to go through the main compartment. Recommend to go with distilled only water for this and opal ice maker. Clean with bleach solution quarterly.

I love our icemaker and having a second water resevoir now is soo convenient.

It works well, but I’m giving it 4 stars because it’s not as clear as the original tank that came with my Nugget machine when I first bought it. This side tank is noticeably more dimmed/cloudy. Also, the seal around the edge seems to have a few bubbles. I’m hoping this won’t cause any issues over time. I’ll continue using the tank to see how well it holds up, but I’m a little concerned that the bubbles or seal could eventually lead to buildup or make it harder to keep clean. So far, it works as expected, but I’ll have to see how it performs with continued use. However, I can tell they made the silicone ring on the lid much better than the original. This one has a flat, circular ring, while the original one I have has a more cylindrical, rounded ring. The original could sometimes cause leakage if it wasn’t lined up perfectly. I actually prefer the design of this new one because the flat silicone ring seems to sit more evenly and feels less likely to leak.

BTW - yes the clip does come with this, I looked at all reviews and none mentioned this, so I ordered one separately grrr now I will need to return it. Even the description doesn’t mention it. I only received this today and will update again but so far all seems to be working good. Wish there was a way to fill from the top half and not have to take it out and turn upside down to fill. This would have made it much easier to refill the canister.

I loved it, this ice machine works much better with this second tank.
