I have been crocheting for 30 years and didn't realize how hard it has been getting with my arthritis. I love these hooks. The grip is a little larger than clover and fits better at the bottom of the grip and along the back side of the grip. It is so much easier for me to crochet. I have tried several different yarns and have not had the splitting or slipping I get with the clover. Clover are great hooks but I like these even better. I do crochet in the knife position so I don't know how well it is for people who crochet holding it like a pencil. The steel hooks for finer crocheting are not quite the same but I may even be able to crochet doilies again. The actual hook is similar to Boye hooks and that works best for me with the knife position. The price is absolutely fantastic. I don't knit much any more, however, it is nice to have those extras. I always need more scissors and tape measure and I wasn't really aware of the different stitch markers and will be glad to try the curly cues as the safety pin type are harder for me to attach. Plus you get a very nice case to store it all. The only issue I have is that I can't tell which side of the case has my regular hooks. I have put a little dangler on the zipper for that side and now I can find it quickly. I could also put a design on that side to tell it apart. I will admit that there is a residue on the handles when you first get them, but it wears off after 1 hour and the grip is just fantastic. I love, love, love them.

I really enjoy this product and think it is a great purchase for yourself, or for a gift. I liked that it came with not only the most often used size hooks, but also with smaller ones for more intricate projects as well. The extras that came with this were helpful but I did find that there was an issue with my row counter. I'm not quite surprised as the row counter is pretty cheaply made. I really like the case and how it has pockets for storing all the little extras as well. It seems that it will hold up nicely. The hooks themselves were comfortable in my hand and appear to be quite durable. I mainly bought it because of the hooks and the case, but the extras are nice and helpful as well.

Extreme quality for a great price! After so long of using shorter crochet hooks I definitely needed longer ones. These hooks have really helped my hands cramp less and keep me crocheting longer without so many breaks in between. All the accessories that come with are helpful too, because many of them are easily lost during projects. Overall I'm very satisfied with this set!

or even for your primary set. I've been crocheting for nearly 50 years and have tried all kinds of hooks. These are right up their with my top choices, and everything is in one handy pack, steel and aluminum, super smooth and with comfort handles. I like to keep a set of most-used hooks in the cars, at my daughters' homes, near the washer and dryer, etc. Yes, I'm obsessed, but I find crocheting takes my mind off my arthritic pain. Cold metal hooks don't do me any favors, though. These hooks work well, and with a few additions (my special bent needles, an emergency mending kit and my "handmade by" labels) I'm good to work anywhere. Compact and waterproof, too! The one thing I'm worried about is the printed sized on the comfort grips of the larger hooks may wear off...it won't matter to me, but it might be a concern to others. Great buy!

It's actually a great product. Comes with a full set of ergonomic hooks in all of the most used sizes. Larger sizes are the same old metal hooks, and that's perfectly fine because I rarely use them. Lots of markers and gauge markers ... everything you'd need. However, not all of the ergonomic hooks are set properly. I have a pattern that calls for an H hook, and it had enough of a gap between the base of the hook and the handle that it's unusable. That last stitch gets stuck every time. Now, I know how to correct for that. I have UV epoxy. And honestly, I like the G hook better and the G is what I use most often, and that was totally fine. A couple of other sizes aren't set correctly either, but not as bad as the H hook. The others I would rarely use anyway. Sturdy case, nice amount of stitch markers and what-not. Seems to be a quality stitch gauge. Case is sturdy and seems to have been made well.

Very nice little kit, would make a great gift for a crocheter. Came with several supplies, two of which are for knitting (the tip holders and cable needles), but that's fine since I do both. Case is a nice smooth faux leather, closes well and zips securely. My one note: always check the millimeter a pattern wants instead of just going by the letter. The Boye brand hooks many use have a different standard mm for each letter. Also, I found it funny, but my set has a typo, with one of the hooks 'letter' being 7. As far as the hooks, I appreciate that the mm size is printed on one side and embossed in the handle on the other, just in case the ink wears off--though this only applies to the larger set of B-J. The small hooks for lace have smaller handles with only printing. Overall, a very nice kit for the price, and it's great to have both the larger and smaller hooks in one case.

I am so happy with this crochet set. I kept looking for a complete set that has both the US and metric numbers on them. This set has both the letter size and also the numbered milimeters which is great. I was concerned because other reviewers said they weren't numbered. But they are, Not only that, there are printed sizes on one side and then the size is also indented into the rubber on the opposite as well. Which is another plus as I imagine with use the printed numbers could wear off. The case is surprisingly well made and constructed. And best of all it comes with ample other crochet accessories, sissors, stitch markers, row counter, etc. The sizes of hooks goes as high as J- 6mm. But this same company sells a set of 3 larger hooks 6.5- 8mm on Amazon that are in the same style and fun colors. And theres plenty of room to fit them inside this set. I am going to purchase those for bulkier yarn projects. Overall I am so pleased with this set. I ordered another brand set that was the same price and the quality did not even come close to this one.
