is this clock really silent?

My clock most definitely is not quiet. I have over 50% hearing loss and can still hear it. It is not loud, and it is not the normal tick-tock one associates with a clock, but it is a rapid, almost frantic sound that is always present. I have it mounted in my 8 x 10 ham shack where it looks great and keeps accurate time for my radio logs. Bottom line, if this clock breaks for some reason, I would not hesitate to buy it again for this price.

Can this clock be opened without damaging it? I would like to replace the back-face with a 12 at top grey/white shaded one, to mimic day/night.

Wow, though about same thing! Why it is so hard to find 24h clocks? And even more harder with 12 on top? If you succeed with swap, please share your experience!

I would like to replace the clock face with my own print/graphics. Any idea if the clock could be disassembled to allow this?

No clue but it doesn't look like it would disassemble without destruction.

Outdoor compatibility: Is this clock useable outdoors (0-100 degrees)?

Mine is working fine in a garden shed that gets to 100 degrees F in the summer, but I’m not sure about it getting wet outside, and it will probably fade.
