ILM Motorcycle Dual Visor Flip up Modular Full Face Helmet DOT Model 902/902L

Some of the components seem cheap and flimsy plastic but its the non-functional pieces. The functional parts like vents, clips, etc all seem quality. Its quite comfortable and lightweight. The visors etc are easy to use and work well. I thought I might want to return it when it came but after two rides, I think it's an ok helmet. I hope it's safe and will protect in a crash. It seems like it would. I don't do a lot of highway riding but it's comfortable at 70mph and below, not much wind noise or whistles or vibration. Also, pretty good ventilation but not great. My head wasn't hot but I had helmets in past that had better airflow ventilation. One thing I didn't care for is with face / chin part down, didn't feel like I had options or was getting a lot of fresh air. I had a fixed full face helmet years ago and I remember it had 3 vent settings. You could get enormous air flow to breathe or dial back couple steps and close air flow. While I didn't really get hot or sweaty, I didn't notice much difference in vents open or closed. On my old helmet years ago, if I opened top vents, you definitely felt airflow and cooling. I had in Colorado and remember closing because in fall your head would get cold. This helmet, I don't think there is a airflow path inside. Probably some Air comes in, but there are not good channels.

I have the large model and it fits me very well. It is 1 size bigger than I am used to ordering just FYI. I can wear my glasses with no problem or discomfort. I have preventively applied silicon grease (spray) on all the moving parts and all of them are easy to operate, still, the shield does not drop unless I operate it, so everything works as it should. I ride a naked bike, and it becomes a little bit noisy passed 65mph, but nothing unbearable. Overall, I have no regrets about my purchase. The helmet is very good for the price. I hope that I will not have to test its performance in case of an accident, i hope it will do its job if it happens. The finish of the helmet is not the greatest but, for the price, it is very good.

Great feeling helmet, haven’t quite figured out how to not fog up glass, but the drop down visor is handy. Pretty top heavy, but very comfortable and affordable.

This is my second modular ILM full face model 902 purchase. Nice styling and good quality overall for the price. Shipping was quick and it came in a brand new box and styro wrapping. My first purchase was quite disappointing because it looked like a returned item and the box was slightly tattered and re-taped, but the helmet fit me perfectly so I kept it.

To start, my expectations were met. I read reviews and compared this item with others. So I knew what I was buying. Just a heads up for others, as mentioned by other reviews of this item, please purchase locktite for the two screws that hold the clear face shield in place. You do not want to risk that coming loose and apart while riding. Now the helmet its self was perfect to me, again I knew what I was buying and at the price I was buying it. It is very comfortable, light weight and great features. The white color finish was beautiful. The entire front face pulls up, the clear shield pulls up, has shaded shield that also retracts, vents on the front and top of the helmet. This helmet is great. There is a bit of flex in the shell of the helmet, not too much. Again locktite the two screws for the clear shield and enjoy.

I liked all of the features of this helmet, but there was one issue that was a show-stopper, wind noise. The wind noise is a lot louder than my existing helmet especially at speeds over 50 mph. Riding in gusty wind conditions was really awful. If I was riding fairly short rides, this would not be an issue, but on long rides, the additional noise (even though I wear effective ear plugs) would create a lot of unwanted fatigue.

Tried a few helmets on for fit then ordered this one. Very comfortable. Great value.

Love having the jaw flip up, the drop down smoke lens is kinda cheesy, the fit is right on the money. It smells like diesel, have washed all the liners but still stinks a bit. Does the job...

It fits well, good value but not sure how safe it actually is. I am now using it as a spare helmet, not as my main helmet (I do a lot of hwy driving)

Comfortable but very loud inside

So far very impressed with the fit and build of the 2 helmets that we bought. We went up a size as recommended by many reviewers and the fit is perfect. Loving them so far.

Je me suis procuré un système de communication Sena à fixer à mon nouveau casque. Et bien il a fallu que je le colle à la paroi du casque car il ne possédait pas les deux trous prévus pour recevoir le bidule de communication. Pour un casque tout neuf, je l'aurais pensé plus ''aux goûts du jour''. Sinon il est fabuleusement beau, la taille convenait parfaitement et était conforme aux mesures suggérées.
