Ninja Perfect Temperature 1.7L Kettle, Rapid Boil, Matte Black KT200UK

Great kettle. Got this on a 50% off promotion. Really nice looking kettle that has all the bells and whistle on it. Can set the temperature if you want. Boils quickly and gives the Ninja beep when done. Not as big as I thought but still get prob 5 mugs of tea put of it. Looks very smart in any kitchen. Not sure I would pay full price on it, but if you see it on offer snap it up. Usual high ninja quality.

Did we need a kettle that keeps the water hot for 30 minutes? As it turned out, yes we did. As kettles go, this is a really good one, it is lightweight when empty which is a good starting point and it is no noisier than any other kettle that we have had previously. It looks good too. We don't do 'speciality' teas so the lower temperature settings won't get much use but the 90, 95, and 100 degree temperatures have been used non-stop. The 'Hold Temp' feature which you might think you won't use has also been invaluable. I get up for work at 3:30am, make myself a coffee from my pod machine and put the kettle on for my large work mug and set it to hold the temp. By the time I'm ready to leave the kettle is already hot and ready to pour. My wife also does this before she goes to work, and because I get home before her I can put the kettle on when I get home, hold the temp, and even after the 30 minutes has expired and the kettle has turned off it is still hot when she gets home and it boils in less time because this is a quick boil kettle. One thing to note with the Hold Temp feature which I personally think is a design fault. When you turn it on the Hold Temp light turns on and the base unit stays lit for 30 minutes, after 30 minutes the base unit beeps and turns off. Next time you use the kettle the Hold Temp light is still lit up, so to use it again you have to press it once to turn it off and press it again to turn it on. In my opinion the light should have turned off after the 30 minute cycle, it's not a major thing so I'm not going to be petty and deduct stars from the review. In the manual it does say to 'Press the button again to turn it off'. In summary, it looks good, boils quick, we love the different temperature settings and the Hold Temp feature, it's the kettle you didn't think you needed.

I chose the matte black version because it matches my kitchen décor perfectly, and it looks really sleek on the counter. Ninja products have always been a staple in both my home and my family’s homes — we’ve always rated them highly — and this kettle is no exception. One of my family members bought it first, and after seeing it in action, I knew I needed one too. I’ve had it for about a month now and genuinely don’t regret the purchase. It boils quickly — within seconds to a couple of minutes depending on how much water you’re heating — so you’re not waiting around long. One of my favourite features is the temperature selector. I drink matcha regularly, and 80°C is the ideal temperature for it. Being able to set the kettle to 80°C instead of boiling to 100°C makes a noticeable difference in flavour — it tastes smoother and less bitter compared to when I was using a standard kettle. Another feature I love is that it holds the temperature for up to 30 minutes. This is perfect if you’re like me and get distracted halfway through making a drink 😂 You don’t have to reboil it straight away. It’s also easy to wipe down and keep clean, and overall feels like a high-quality appliance. I’m really happy with this purchase and will definitely be buying more Ninja products in the future. In fact, another family member has already bought this kettle after seeing mine.

Love the Ninja kettle. I did wince a bit at the price, and considered a cheaper option but I'm glad that I listened to my friend, who already had one. The hold feature is useful when you're multi tasking, because it holds the temperature for up to 30 minutes. Fab design, and great matt black colour.

I bought this Ninja kettle to replace my old Bosch Skyline one, which had served me well for about 10 years! I decided on the Ninja rather than the newer model of Bosch, because I preferred to have buttons rather than touch control, and I feel the Ninja just looked better. I’m so happy with my choice! This kettle has all the temperature features that I loved on my old one. The little noise it makes on start/finish is cute, loud enough to hear it in the next room but not too loud. It does get loud when boiling but no more than any other kettle. I like that you can see the temperature going up and down. It is fast to boil. I like the red indicator on the inside of the kettle showing the minimum required level of water, it makes it easy to fill it up just enough for one cup of tea. One thing to note is that the sides get very hot to touch, whereas my old Bosch did not get hot on the outside so it was a bit safer. However the lid of the Ninja does not get hot so it’s still safe to touch the lid after it has boiled. It’s a shame there isn’t a Ninja toaster to match. For anyone who wants a toaster to go with it, I got a Morphy Richards (see pic) which has the same matte black outside with silver accents, and I think they go together really well!

This is a very easy controllable electric kettle. It's got good comparability and durability. It's easy to clean and heats the water which can be just a cup full to 100° all the time. You can keep it. Hold on that if you're talking and it does it for up to 10 minutes. You can also change the head settings. So if I want the shave for instance I just said it to 60° and it saves money. Saves you boiling it and it's brilliant. It's got a good visible water tube on the side so you know exactly how much is in the kettle. It fits well in the kitchen and it's very compatible. This is one of the best kettles I've ever owned. And a good price, I recommended it to several of my friends and they've all bought one as well.

Cord is too short - does not reach from kitchen bench to top of the cabinet which is standard 60cm height. Terrible. Also no option for an AU plug even though sold by Amazon AUS (but I knew that going in). Extremely disappointed with the abnormally short length of the cable.
