Copper, 14 Cup : Cuisinart DCC-3200CP PerfecTemp 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker - Copper

A couple things about this coffee pot. It makes a great coffee cup and it’s easy to fill. However it’s not the color indicated in the product image. While the coffee pot looks a gold tone on this site it is a true copper color in person. That I could have lived with. However the sole reason we chose this pot was for the 14 cup capacity. The carafe has a 14 cup line as well as the water reservoir. Sadly if you fill the carafe to 14 cups and pour it into the reservoir the water begins to spill out the back at the 12.5 cup mark. I’ve contacted Cuisinart about this issue and they said that that this should not be happening, it was a manufacturing error. However they did not have replacements as this is a discontinued color.

Purchased in Sept 2019, leaking excessively by June 2022. My parents Cuisinart (older model) is over 15 years old and perfect.

This is a beautiful coffee maker. It looks wonderful on my counter and works well.

Update July 2022. Machine still working well. I broke the carafe and was able to get a replacement, however the copper trim was not available. Original review: After many different searches, this machine kept popping up. (it even came up on a search for coffee machines with no plastic. The entire inside of the machine is plastic. :/) I’ve had the machine less than a week, so here’s my first impressions (will update if necessary). Upon opening, there is a strong plastic smell. That went away after I ran a couple of cycles of plain water and lemon juice to clean the machine. I got the 14 cup glass carafe with the bronze finish. It’s a nice looking machine. Hides fingerprints pretty well. After reading many reviews about the peeling warming plate, we decided to keep the plate temperature on LOW. The pot is brewed at about 8am on a timer and is still very hot at 10am for the last cup. Hoping that will avoid the peeling problem. (I read on one review that just keeping it off of the HIGH setting worked for them) I like the beeps letting you know when the brewing is finished - but it's nice to have the option to turn the sound off. The timer is easy to set. The BOLD brew gives a nice cup that my family likes. (We used 8 cups of water to 3 Tbsp of grounds). After the pot is finished brewing and the machine is cooled, the top door should be left open to dry out. When you open this door, the water droplets drip back into the reservoir, NOT on the outside/back of the machine (one less thing to have to deal with daily!) We choose to NOT keep the machine directly under the overhead cabinets while brewing. After reading some reviews, we didn’t want to have an issue with damage to the wood from the steam. Keep this in mind if you have limited counter space. The cord is not very long, so the outlet needs to be close. My only minor concern is that the filter basket holder doesn’t snap into place securely (on my old machine snapped firmly in place, so it’s something I have to get used to). Every time you slide the carafe into or out of place, the basket moves up slightly. It’s not causing any leakage or other problems. Overall, we are all happy with the machine.
