Weight capacity of top shelf?

I have 14 lbs on the top shelf and would have no reservations about doubling that.

Would it support a monitor being mounted to hang off the top shelf?

This unit is made for the floor. I believe if you want to mount something off the top shelf you could. It would also depend on the size of the monitor, not a very big one at that. Very sturdy little tower stand. Perfect for my needs.

What is the total weight supported? I want to put two mid-towers on it (secured, of course). Thanks.
