Excellent vises
Really nice vise. Everything is great with it from the get go. It is clean and the screw moves freely in either direction. Also, the jaws are perfectly lined up and meet entirely with each other. I have had some other vises that only work if you place an item in the middle and the rest of the jaw is out of alignment, not these vises. They are on the light duty side, but worked really well for cutting smaller metal and wood objects if you clamp them to your work bench.

Very heavy and solid, precisely machined
I've used a drill press as a home DIYer for a long time, and I can't explain why it never occurred to me to buy a vise for it. But oh, what a difference it makes to be able to clamp your work solidly. It's essential when drilling metal. This tool is a game changer for me. It's very heavy and solid, and precisely machined (at least to within the tolerances of a home machinist). The lead screw is smooth so you can grip the work well. The heavy iron base has slots that may align with the slots in the table of your drill press; if they don't, you can also C-clamp the unit to the table. I'm super impressed with this tool and very pleased with the value. You'll be able to take on another class of projects with this vise.

Great for small projects, firm hold, heavy base
Really well built. The vise is appropriately heavy to firmly hold your material without shifting. The base is stable and flat and the crank works well. I bought this for drilling holes into hardwood knife handle scales and it works great. Use scrap pieces of wood between the jaws and your project material to protect from surface marring. Perfect for small craft projects!

Stout minivise
I like this item a lot. Works great, heavy duty, has great jaws to grip the items you’re trying to drill. For the price I haven’t found a better mini vise. Great value fit on my Wen drill press no problem. Would buy again

Rolin vice
Great vice, a bit heavy but helps so it won’t move around on my table top since I’m not going to secure it with bolts, and very sturdy. It arrived oiled which is great against rust. Recommend indeed!
