Intuitive interface and compact.
Walkingpad is churning out some amazing products lately. This particular model is good for apartments as the footprint is small and can be tucked away in a corner. The rotating dial interface is quite intuitive and the best feature in my opinion. Only gripe I had was the app connectivity with iOS devices is not good. Also the Bluetooth connection was not happening with my iPhone. However it worked fine with an Android phone. The support team responded very quickly to all queries and tried to resolve the issue. I like that they made every attempt possible to make it work and then offered to authorize RMA. Overall a very good experience and genuinely good quality mechanical components, just the software interface electronics aspects need some fine tuning.

Does Not Last - Do Not Buy
Most reviews posted were written promptly after receiving the WalkingPad X21, when it’s new, working, and impressive. This review is written after 8 months of daily use, when the unit is inoperable. This is the second WalkingPad unit I’ve owned. The first WalkingPad A1 had occasional motor fault codes (E05) but still operates today, three years after purchase. The WalkingPad X21 promised to have the capability for running and, more importantly for me, an anti-static platform (the A1 causes a great deal of static, getting the occasional shock from my standing desk). The X21 unit was twice as expensive as the A1 model. Unfortunately, it began displaying the same fault code (E05) after only 7 months of use. Since April 2020, I consistently walk 15k to 20k steps daily on a WalkingPad. With this much use, I was comfortable with purchasing this second WalkingPad X21, rationalizing that I got over two full years of daily use from the WalkingPad A1 before the occasional motor fault code began was expected (i.e., two years of use on a $400 model placed the cost around $200 annually, after which point consider the unit past its useful life). Unfortunately, the WalkingPad X21 abruptly stopped working after less than 8 months use, as it consistently displays a motor fault code (E05) immediately upon powering the unit. With this more expensive unit costing $850 or more, this places my annualized cost over the unit’s useful life at nearly $1300, which is unacceptable. The one year warranty requires the unit to be packed in the original packaging (large box to retain) and shipped at my expense ($280), with no guarantee the repairs will last. Buy a less expensive model or brand, and if you get two years of daily use from the unit, consider it a win. The more expensive units, especially in the WalkingPad product line, are not built to a higher standard, nor do they have a longer useful life. My experience shows that the older, simpler model lasted substantially longer and still operates to this day, even if for an occasional fault code a few times a week.

Impressed!
I have a small house and don’t have the room for a full-size treadmill. I was super happy when I found this folding treadmill. It’s a very slick and clever design. While it doesn’t have an incline, it does go over 7 miles an hour which is plenty fast enough for my running speed. I have only had it 2 days but so far so good. Folding it and unfolding it is easy. It fits nicely in my small office. The display is easy to read and the device pad is perfect for a phone or tablet. The mobile app is just so-so. I really wish they would update it so I could use Face ID to login. It’s a bit loud but it’s been a while since I have been on a treadmill - so I don’t have a good frame of reference. If you’re short on space but want to get your steps in, this is a great choice.

Pretty solid
Sturdiness: it’s composed of more metal than I was expecting, sturdier feel than I was expecting. I’ve included a video of how much I am able to wobble the handle bar(not much), bc it was something I wondered prior to purchasing. The crease in the middle of the belt path: I walk/jog in barefoot shoes. I can feel it, but it doesn’t bother me. It is a flat seam, hinged on the opposite side, it feels like stepping on a crack on the sidewalk. Log computer: meh. It gets the job done. I mostly log workouts with my smart watch, anyway. It is frustrating that if you pause a workout, a countdown clock begins. You have a set interval to resume your workout before the stats zero out. Distance shown in miles. Ease of folding and maneuverability: It’s pretty easy to fold, 2 step process with only one lever to squeeze. It’s heavy. When folded and upright, I “walk it across the floor”, moving one corner at a time. I’m a female of average build and able to do this independently, albeit I am always mindful that, “This might be the time I mistakenly lift with my back and hurt myself.” Aesthetic: speaks for itself. Images shown online are true to life. I’m a fan. Noise: I’ve noted others complaining about the sound of this treadmill. In my opinion, it’s motor is within reason for any treadmill. I will note that the lack of cushioning lends to increased noise with the impact of my steps. On that note, cushioning: nil. Safety: there is a kill switch leash, and a general power button on the base. I still worry that it doesn’t have a child lock function (because, preschoolers). I manage this by removing the cord entirely from the treadmill (it detaches) and keeping it elsewhere, separate from the unit. Belt adjustment: I adjusted it upon initial setup and it has remained true thus far (only ~60 miles or so) It is still new, but so far it suits my needs and saves space.

Buy It.
Incredibly worth the money. We live in AZ and it's too hot to walk outside for a good portion of the year. I got this for my son so he could use it for online school, sensory (walking barefoot safely) and exercise. The item is perfect, easy to put together and reliable. My only constructive feedback is that the app could use some work and the item is a bit hard to move around on carpet. All things I've learned to work around. I love that it doesn't take up space in the house when it's not in use.

Very solid and well made.
Awesome treadmill. I was looking for a small treadmill to replace an older and bulky one. This is perfect! It fits in the room nicely and the folding feature is ground breaking. Kuddos to this company. The treadmill is well built and very quiet. I have it sitting on a bike mat, and it is like walking/running on clouds. I love this machine. If you are looking for a space saver exercise equipment that delivers what it promises, this is the one. Now that I can have this in the upstairs of my house as opposed to the unfinished basement, I am a lot more inclined to use it on a daily basis. Only thing that is bothering me is that I am not sure how to change the rotating display from Chinese to English. Hopefully I will get an answer from the seller.

Malfunctioning Treadmill with No Support for E5 Error
We purchased this treadmill for walking and running. It worked fine for a while, but now it shows an E5 error. As soon as we plug it in, E5 starts flashing in red and it doesn’t work. We checked the manual, but there’s no advice on what to do about the E5 error. Please do not buy this product; it’s very expensive and stopped working quickly. I need the company to tell me what to do.

Perfect for my apt.
I love this and it fits perfectly against the wall or in a closet. The price I paid was $999, and it had a $100 coupon, so I still think that the price could have been much less—just my opinion. All in all, it is a great foldable Treadmill and is sharp-looking when folded. I would recommend for sure.
