SP Silicon Power swivel dual flash drive 32 gb

I purchased 2 of these because the one I have has been excellent for years, but is running out of space. Prior to using them, I scanned for malware and viruses (as one does these days) and with a typical malware/virus scan program, they reportd clean. Despite that, **both** flash drives have corrupted the clean data I placed on them and did so within just a few files. It required an extensive retrieval and recovery of the files, which I managed but shouldn't have had to do. Not with new, supposedly clean, flash drives from a trusted brand. They work now, but I can't trust using them to store and back up files. As a writer, I need trustworthy back up flash drives (and yes, I also print out my files - print files don't suddenly and for no reason replace words with blocks of symbols and unrelated letters and numbers) and these 2 flash drives aren't trustworthy. I've been using floppies and thumb drives/flash drives since they were first released last century (how odd to say that, but it's been a quarter of a century since already); my older flash drives are still clear and accessible and the files safe on them. Even my ancient-in-the-computer-world floppies are still clear, accessible, and the files readable and intact. I hope others have had better luck with this brand.

I've bought two of these. They're very sturdy and they're easy to bring along with you on our keychain because of they way they're shaped. I also like the way you can just put your finger inside the hole and pull from there when you want it out of your player.

I ride a motorcycle everyday. in the rain too. lots of vibration from the v-twin engine. it gets wet, cold, hot, bumped around for miles, and it works great when i get to the office. cant complain, no brainer, and faster than the kingston one, even though its still kind of slow by todays standard. well worth the 7$ for the 8gb version

Buy one of these cheap usb sticks, to create a backup of your pc or laptop. it's a good insurance!
