Developing Number Concepts, Book 2: Addition and Subtraction

Love this book, I have all 3 t this is great for use in my SPED resource room. It is so helpful to have everything you need included as blackline masters in the back of the book. If you need solid center ideas, independent activities and ways to teach math in 1:1 or small group centers these books are the way to go. You won't be disappointed. There is also a chart that has what activities to use for independent or group etc, it is very helpful.

I have taught elementary math for over 20 years, and have a master's degree in math education. I found this to be the best book on teaching basic concept of addition and subtraction I have ever had. There are numerous activities which require little preparation, group and individual activities, all of which will teach your students to understand the real meaning of the concepts and help them develop fluency with numbers that will make a significant difference in their futures with math.

Great resource for classroom teachers! Easy to implement ideas to develop number sense routines in my first grade classroom. The kids loved the activities and many times didn't even realize they were "doing math" because so many past teachers only gave worksheets for math!

Very helpful ideas for setting up collaborative learning environments. After reading through the text and looking at links provided, I was able to plan out my year of math workshop for my special day class.

Kathy Richardson has great books for hands on math activities. I am slowly adding them to my library. I teach Kindergarten and the more hands on the students do the more they understand the concepts. Easy to read and follow.

Was as advertised, recommended by a friend. I was not disappointed.

I am a kindergarten teacher and use the first two books in this series faithfully. The activities are all hands on with manipulatives that are readily available in most classrooms.
