ECCO Wax Oil, TRANSPARENT

This is a great shoe oil that totally revitalized the leather on my yak skin ECCO hiking shoes. After 6 years of wear and tear, the shoes were holding up fine but the leather was bone dry and stained. This oil helped remove the stained and weathered look, and made the shoes waterproof again! Very simple application with a cloth, and buffed to a dull sheen with a shoe brush. Great product.

I have 20 years of Ecco Track 25's that I take care of with this wax oil. There are many many many videos out there about taking care of boots and shoes and I find myself watching all of them. However, I never change the product that I use to take care of the shoes and boots. I use this on my wifes Ecco NuBuck sneakers and her Ecco winter boots. One brand... one product. Its a high quality protectant, conditioner and can be brush buffed to a nice sheen. It keeps the leather supple like the first day you slipped your feet into the shoe/boot. If you're like me and watch the cobbler maintenance videos you will notice that this one product can take the place of saddle soap, creme conditioner, and polish for most Ecco shoes. Well it does it for all of my Ecco shoes but I don't own all the models. Also, if you learned to shine boots and shoes in the military then this functions the same way and doesn't leave your fingers with the color of the polish. For functionality, quality, and comfort use this on your Ecco shoes and keep them in top shape for decades!

I like this wax oil overall. I used it after the leather cream from the same brand, and together they work well. It really bringsold tired leather back to life — shoes look better and a bit shinier after using it. It also seems to add some water resistance, which is a big plus. Downsides: It can slightly darken light leather, so you really need to test it in a hidden spot first. Also, it’s a bit messy to work with, because the texture is oily, it’s easy to overapply, and it takes some time to buff everything in. The smell is not strong, but not my favorite either. Overall, it does its job and the jar will last a long time, I guess.
