Gotta love Tess Winnett!!
Just finished The Girl They Took and loved it. This is the 8th Tess Winnett book and each one gets better and better. Leslie Wolfe is one of my favorite authors and this is the 14th book I have read from this author. I will say that Tess is my favorite, one of the best characters in this genre. Tess is fierce, takes no prisoners, does not follow the rules when they interfere with her finding justice for the victims. She is stubborn, opinionated and goes all out to catch the bad guys. Yet, deep inside she is a gentle caring soul. They way she looks after Cal and, in this book, the tears she was afraid to shed for Paige and her mother. Thank you Leslie Wolfe for another great book and the time spent enjoying it. Can not wait for the next one!

Believeabible ending
Unlike some writers these days, this ending did not come out of left field. Still had a nice twist at the end.

Gripping Child Abduction Thriller
I highly recommend this fast paced thriller with many twists and turns, including an ending that made my jaw hit the floor!! Don't miss out on this gem of a novel, folks!! This is the first novel I've read by this author, and I'll be ordering more of her books!

Very short, poorly done
This author is clearly out to make a quick buck based on minimal writing and the book is poorly constructed. First it is much shorter than you would expect - the publisher used larger than normal font to allow fewer words per page making this more like a short story than a novel. Charging 11 bucks for this one is a definite ripoff. The characters are one dimensional and underdeveloped apart from the FBI woman โTessโ who is evidently the hero of the story. Please avoid this hack job and find a better book somewhere else. If you want suspense, try books by author Greg Iles. Far better written and plotted and richer in detail.
