Research Methods in Psychology: Evaluating a World of Information (Second Edition)

This is actually I really good book. It is written for research consumers instead of research producers. Things are well explained and it is easy to follow. I am a psych major with a focus on ABA and this is one of the best textbooks I have used for my college psychology classes.

Bought this book for my research method in psychology class at college. The book had written in a well understanding way and easy to used/read. This textbook was surprisingly interesting, and I'm not an avid reader. The author is very good with giving examples and sticking with the same set of examples throughout the chapters. The author is also excellent at tying the concepts together from beginning to end. Vocab words are used throughout the entire book so it's easier to remember them all the way to the end. As for the book itself, be careful with the pages. They're made out of very cheap paper and even a drop of water on the page will permanently wrinkle the page in that spot. It might even be worth getting the hardcover for this book because of how terribly flimsy it is.

It's a good read. The information is presented thoroughly. As far as texbooks go, it is not too much of a slog to read. This was especially useful because my professor lectured directly from the books material without providing her own exaexamples from any supplemental sources. So, apparently this book is so good you can base an entire class on it alone.

I prefer loose-leaf textbooks because I can put them in my own binder so all of my textbooks match--just an organizational preference. I ordered it used, like I have from Amazon hundreds of times for other novels and textbooks. It is my own fault for not checking the dimensions of this loose-leaf version, but I have never encountered the loose-leaf version being so much smaller than typical loose-leafs. Therefore, I can't put in my binder and the binding the seller sent it in that was made to fit this format was very banged up. That being said, the text itself is just fine.

The Pre-owned copy is not bad at all. Very minimal wear n tear. Great deal for those students who want to save a few extra bucks.

Most useful textbook I've ever used in a university course

The BEST book on research methods I've found. I prefer it to Andy Fields as Morling uses lots of real research as examples and is therefore much more accessible. It also didn't make me want to gouge my eyes out in boredom. Ultimately this book brought about a sea change in my attitude to research methods-much more confident and engaged now. It's my secret weapon. Just go buy it.

There's writing on the edges of the paper, but that was already mentioned in the order. Other than that, seems to be perfectly clean / brand new on the inside!
