Works great for Meshtastic devices
Great little GPS module. I installed these in 2 T-Decks running Meshtastic. Received good satellite reception. I switched out one of the antennas for an external one and I'm getting 21+ sats now.

Excellent GPS module!
I needed a small GPS module for an ESP32 project's clock circuity. I wasn't looking for the GPS coordinates, just a precision time source. With the help of an online AI interface, I quickly had the code I needed and it was up and running within minutes! It only required 4 wires to connect to the ESP32. I decided to check it's latitude and longitude capabilities and was surprised to see it resolve about a 3 foot move of the module on my workbench! This module was a great value and met my needs perfectly!

works well with GPS/BD systems
I was working on a project comparing location fixes by the different satellite constellations. This gps module was included in my testing. I pasted the GPS stream into a chatgpt session and it commented back that the signal was decoding BD signals better than any of the other expensive modules that I was using from various vendors. I suspect that this one is tuned for the BD consultation. It was quick at getting a fix and I had no issues pulling down the data stream over UART as expected. It is a nice, small, inexpensive module that gets the job done for any project needing a location fix.

Excellent GPS/GNSS Module: LilyGo T-Deck
In my experience, this GPS/GNSS module works the best for the T-Deck conversion to the LilyGo T-Deck Plus. Once I soldered the module to the T-Deck’s Grove port on the board, I went to Meshtastic’s website to program it to the LilyGo T-Deck. I went outside, and in about a minute or so, I locked up 15 satellites. I pulled up my coordinates, and it was spot-on accurate. I walked about 8 miles round trip, through Manhattan (NYC), and the module locked-on and held its connection through the entire 8-mile walk. I bought two more modules, which will arrive today, 30-Dec-2024. I’m building a T-Deck Plus for my girlfriend, using this module. I like the red LED light, which indicates the module is on and active. Check 6! /s/ Alfonso Faustino

Works good. Fast fix indoors.
Works good. Fast fix indoors. Can't seem to get GPS+BDS ($PCAS04,3*1A) to work together. Tried various $PCAS commands, but only get GNSS when using the default $PCAS ($PCAS04,3*1A) command. But I wanted BDS anyways, so I used the $PCAS command ($PCAS04,2*1B) to set BDS only. Photo of ATGM336H with black pill f411 using embassy-rs to read and write to 336H.

Keen eyesight and a steady hand help a lot
I used this to add GPS to a Lilygo T-Deck and apart from one head scratcher, it’s been easy and great. The TX and RX needed to be inverted for the T-Deck. I don’t know why exactly, but when I sorted that all out, it’s picks up multiple satellites quickly and reliably.

Works great, can be used to calculate time
Works very well, has PPS so time can be calculated and used as NTP server. Don't let the antenna cable connector ground to the battery, it will get hot and fail.

One unit works one didn't
One unit works just fine the other keeps rebooting. The message GPTXT,01,01,01,ANTENNA OK*35 keeps repeating when debugging along with byte code or garbled data. I am currently using it for an NTP server and it seems to be a nice alternative to the other reclaimed u-blox chip that can only connect to 8-9 satelites. Overall not bad. The unit defaults to GP and BD (US GPS and China Beidou). You can google for "ATGM336H PCAS commands" to get other commands in order to change from BD to GL (Glonass). I think BD and GP are more accurate combinations. I was able to get more satelite lock with GP and BD than GP and GL.
