Danner Men’s Tachyon 8” Duty Boots

These are fantastic boots if you're looking for something lightweight to move fast in. They are as comfortable as sneakers. Unlike some other lightweight combat boots, the sole is thick enough that you won't feel rocks or gravel poking your feet. Everyone who is looking for a more athletic style of boot seems to go with Nikes or Rockys, but I think the Tachyon is a hidden gem in this category. I wore them every day during 3 weeks of training and had no issues whatsoever. Pros -Extremely lightweight -Thick enough sole with great traction -Breathable compared to most combat boots -I think they look good I would say cons but I don't really have any for this boot; here are some reasons that the boot might not be for you -I wouldn't count on this boot to keep your feet warm. In cooler weather you can feel the cold air on your feet, and since they're not waterproof they would not be a good choice for cold/wet weather -Because of the lightweight upper, ankle support is not as good as a more traditional combat boot; this is great for running and mobility however -While I had no issues in craftsmanship and durability, due to the foamy/sneaker-like sole of the boot and synthetic leather upper, it may not be as durable in certain conditions, such as extensive walking through thick brush/prickers

The fit is fine length wize, and the toe box felt fine, but it feels tight round the balls of my feet. I have thin feet, so if yours are a little wider, I would recommend ordering a half-full size up. After breaking them in, the tightness is more bearable.

I’ve been in the military for 22 years. I have to say these are THEE most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. I have to wear steal toe boots for a lot of my job but realized recently that I don’t have to wear them all day everyday and they are doing a number on my feet. So I decided to care of me and buy some new boots. After a whole lot of research and asking around, I went with these!!! WOW!!! I feel like I’m wearing sneakers and the best part, my feet have room to breath. My toes aren’t pinched and feel like they’re suffocating. Nothing rubs. I wear a size 8 in women’s shoes and bought a 6. They have a little extra room in them but just the right amount. The only thing I’d say bad is that they’re not for cold weather if you’re out in it, but with the right socks, that could be improved! If you’re unsure, take a chance!!!

i am a regular 7 to 7 1/2, but since only limited sizes are available at this awesome price, was tempted to gamble and hope they will still fit, and they do. Shipping was fast and effortless, boots look great and comfy and are way better that the cheap ones i got from china before. Im still looking for another bargain and get the remaining colors available.

Too tight
