I am surprised about the weight of the product when I received it. It looks really nice and I would say it is pretty solid. I have been to Canadian Tire to look for the butane torch before, however, the price is pretty expensive and I don't like the material since the material in the handle is ABS. The reason why I like this product is because it contains minimal plastic parts (except those adjustment button). The instruction is really detailed and I follow the exact what's on the insturction-when I refill it I count 7 seconds. It works great!! It is easy to use and it can save me lots of time. Now I can easily turn the puddings into creme brulee. Plus you can get the refill anywhere. As long as you get the universal filling tip type of butane fuel, you should be fine.

I've had this a few months now, and the igniter still works, unlike every other torch lighter I've owned. Functions as expected, as good as the more expensive name brand ones I have purchased in the past. Very stable, not prone to tipping over. Would buy again. Great value.
