My old hand crank was about as exciting as watching paint dry (seriously, who invented that torture device?). So, I splurged on this sleek, beauty with a price tag that didn’t make my wallet cry. Boy, did it deliver! Forget your standard graphite spears, this thing sculpted points sharper than a goblin's wit. Then, things got weird. One afternoon, mid-sharpen, a low hum vibrated from the base. The air crackled, my hair stood on end, and suddenly, my desk vanished. Instead, I was knee-deep in emerald grass, staring at a towering oak studded with shimmering portals. This, my friends, was not your average IKEA showroom. Fear not, adventurous readers, for I, armed with nothing but a dozen sharpened Dixon Ticonderogas and a healthy dose of caffeine, braved this fantastical land. This sharpener is best for colored pencil art. The artist needs very long points because the artist uses the side of the pencil point to color the drawings. Good sharpening speed and accuracy. Works well!

very pleased with the performance of this sharpener. i mainly use this for my watercolor pencils and graphites for sketching and it puts a very nice and fine tip on all my pencils.

This is a powerful pencil sharpener. It sharpens my number two pencils and pencils used for drawing with fast precision exactly as described without wasting my pencils. There is a good amount of storage space for the pencil shavings and the sharpener is also easy to clean. This is the best pencil sharpener I have ever used.

Works well and sharpens almost to a point. The only drawback I have is that if you want a needle pointed pencil this one won't do it. The extended lead helps quite a bit. If you need a needle tip use the sanding board.

Excellent product. Had some learning curve in the very beginning, but overall well constructed and works as advertised.

It sharpens and it sharpens fast! It’s addicting lol It has a little slider on the front that allows you to switch between two different point lengths. I only use the shorter point because the lengths are pretty similar. No pencils have gotten stuck so far, but it will chew up a cheap one. Pictured are dollar tree colored pencils and Amazon brand charcoal pencils. The soft charcoal one kept breaking and a few of the colored pencils did too, but I blame that on the cheap pencils. The harder charcoal pencils sharpened just fine and so did most of the colored pencils. You have to connect it to an outlet, this is not battery powered. I prefer this, but it’s good to note in case you wanted to use this while outdoors or away from home. I love not having to resharpen pencils while I’m working, but now it’s kinda fun when I do have to!

So I was a bit concerned when the details said not to use on really soft pencils as my artist set did include soft lead pencils, but I figured I’d give it a try. After all how soft is really soft? Well the attached photo is one of the softest lead pencils I have - being 5B and wow! Just incredible. Nice and long sharpened lead makes it easy for shading and the even shave of the blade is almost like a sanding smooth finish. So glad I spent a little extra to get this one. Worth every cent!

The pencil comes out not pointy enough

A product that lives up to the hype: long pencil points have long been beloved by architects artists etc as it saves them the time and effort of constantly resharpening pencil leads. This product (I’ve had it for around 2 months) seems sturdy, the method of sharpening is very simple and there are options for reducing the lead exposure- better for softer leads like colour or charcoal based pencils. The wood shavings are collected neatly in the base of the sharpener, easy to open up and clean everything. I’ve sharpened a lot of pencils with this product, yet despite the almost insane exposed lead lengths, yet to have one break on me. Buy without hesitation. Note that it has a lot of plastic components so I don’t expect it to last forever but products that have that long life assurance don’t have this level of performance. And I go for performance everytime.

Ou o modo de ponta mais grossa está estragado, ou ele é bem sutil. Outra coisa, não espere o mecanismo travar pois ele irá "comer"o lápis. Fora isso, dá até pena de usar o lápis pois as pontas ficam lindas!!!!

Excelente sacapuntas, he tenido varios para dibujos con lápices de colores y grafito, y cumple con su objetivo, fácil de usar, y deja las puntas de los lápices delgados, aunque difiere poco mm. Hay otros que dejan punta un poco más gruesa, y puedes cambiar a varios diámetros que deseas, el inconveniente es q es con manija y se aflojan y batallas. Este no. Aunque un inconveniente es el peso y un poco el tamaño, por si viajas. La calidad del trabajo en el lápiz es muy buena, además de que el sacapuntas es de un material fuerte, alimentado con electricidad (prevengan sus lápices, jejej), por si faltase la electricidad. Es fácil de usar. Buen diseño, y fácil de abrirlo para vaciar el pequeño acerrin. Me que gusto, cumple mi espectativas, hasta te ahorras tiempo en los lápices q no son tan delicados. Yo si lo recomiendo para dibujantes profesionales, arquitectos, reparadores de obras de arte, artesanos, y profesionistas que requieren de hacer letras o números muy pequeños. Es mi útil. Si salen no dejen de llévalo consigo, por lo bueno q es vale la pena llevarlo. Por eso es 5🌟. Vale el precio.
