TireMinder Smart TPMS with 4 Transmitters for RVs, MotorHomes, 5th Wheels, Motor Coaches and Trailers

I have been using this product for a little over 2 years. At first things went pretty well. Then I started getting false warnings from the device that mounts in the vehicle that did not show up on the mobile app, which I keep on at all times when we are traveling in the auto scrolling mode. It got to the point that you kind of tune the alarms out. Not really good for a device that is supposed to warn you of potential problems. The other issue is the sensors themselves. The clip that holds the batteries in place are so flimsy, the solder joints break easily either from removing or replacing the battery and from normal vibration which renders them useless. On our last trip, I was unable to get the sensors to connect to the app trying multiple times before giving up. About 3 hours into our 4 hour trip, I noticed in my side mirror that one of the drivers side tires on our 5th wheel didn't look right. When I finally found a safe place to pull over, the tire was already smoking. Had the device had been working correctly, maybe it would have notified me of an issue. But I have to wonder if it would have, since we had a blowout on a previous trip did not give any indication of a problem. Maybe just a catastrophic blowout that may not have given any indication. But I have to wonder how effective the product really is. After the last problem, I unistalled the app and reinstalled it and began to reprogram the sensors. Out of 4 I could only get 2 to work. Now I have 2 broken sensors that the battery mount solder joint has broken loose. This product should give me piece of mind. I have lost all faith in this device. I can not recommend this product.UPDATE:After writing this review, I sent a copy of it to TireMinder. They responded almost immediately and after a few emails between myself and Kyle Bianchi from TireMinder to gather more info, it was thought that the problem may be in the Bluetooth adapter. Kyle asked me which product I would prefer and I chose the i10 system as I thought it would better for my setup. Received the item a few days later and was able to get it set up, for the most part. I could only get readings from 2 of the 4 sensors. And was able to program it to my old system as well. Another email to Kyle explaining that problem was definitely a broken battery clip on 1 sensor, which had completely broken off. The other had 1 area were the battery clip was broken at the solder point. Kyle sent me 2 replacement sensors and everything is up and running properly.I can't say enough about TireMinder's customer service. Kyle made sure that I was satisfied with the outcome and that I had a system that I could be confident that should a problem arise, it would alert me. Only time will tell how this new monitor and sensor performs. Changing my rating to 5 stars, mainly due to the excellent customer service.

I bought this to use on my 2016 Ford F350, which did not have built in tire pressure monitoring, and on my travel trailer. I've had flats on my trailer that I've never felt, so this is an important addition to my safety features. When I installed the transmitters on my dually's tires, I was surprised to immediately see that one of the inner tires was flat and I hadn't been able to see it. The system paid for itself within minutes of installing it.My main complaint with the product is that I have to take the monitors off to put air in the tires, which risks losing them. At ~$75 for two, this would be an expensive loss. Depending on your wheels, you may also have to be careful to insure that the inner valve stem on a dually is not lined up with the outer one. Once the outer monitor was in place I couldn't reach my hand in to install or remove the inner monitor easily, which makes airing up the inner tire much harder.Overall, though, I have been very happy with this system and look forward to seeing how it works with the repeater on my trailer.

A couple of things to know. First, the pressure readings will not match the readings on your tire gauge. I have several gauges that all read within 2 psi of each other and these sensors read 5-10 PSI higher than the other gauges. As long as you are OK with this and understand the goal is to monitor for changes in pressure, you will find this useful. Also, keep in mind that you will need to set your baselines to match the readings on your monitor, not the readings on your tire gauges. Second, this set comes with 6 transmitters and a wrench to remove the transmitters. I also purchased 4 additional transmitters for my tow vehicle. These additional transmitters do not come with a wrench to remove them and since you need to remove them to add air to your tires, this becomes a problem if you keep your wrench in the RV like I do. I did contact the manufacture and they instructed me to send in my registration and they would send me an additional wrench but so far, about a month later, I still have not received it and you cannot buy one from the manufacture so keep this in mind. Third, my blue tooth transmitter turns off sporadically. Your phone will give you a warning that you have lost signal and it is easy to turn back on but this gets frustrating on a long drive. Despite all this, I still get some piece of mind that my tires are not suddenly losing pressure.Update: I was contacted by a company representative. After discussing the discrepancy in tire pressure between my gauges and the Tire Minder readings, they sent me a new unit to try along with one of their digital gauges to check my tires. They also sent the additional locking nuts and wrench for my tow vehicle. I am headed out this weekend for a trip to the Southwest so I will update my review when I get back.Second Update: After a 3700 mile round trip, the TireMinder does give me peace of mind while traveling. It still reads 5 lbs higher than the actual pressure on all tires even after replacing the unit. However, I set my baseline pressure to the reading pressure (Tow vehicle tires are 35 PSI but TireMinder reads 40). I set baseline to 40 and it worked well. I also checked pressures before departing each AM which let me know if I had a leak. I did have an initial problem of a "tire leaking" alarm every time I stopped but after noticing one tire monitor was starting to read high, I replaced the monitor and the "leaking alarm" stopped. After using for a long trip, I do recommend TireMinder. If you understand the limitations but use it for what it is (to monitor for changes in tire pressure), it works very well and does give reassurance that tire pressures are stable and appropriate.

This is a great peace of mind tool. I cannot begin to recount the number of times we have had tire problems over the last 15 years of RVing. Before I bought these I was constantly obsessing over tire conditions. Tire pressures. Etc.Now that I have had these for three years I can give a complete opinion.Definitely worth it. I bought the repeater and installed it in the battery bay of my fifth wheel. I clip it on before heading out. No problems with signal.I love the smart phone interface. I can flip easily between tire monitoring and map app. I set the app to constantly scroll between all the tires.Very interesting to see the tire pressure rise from cold inflation to running pressure. I never understood that change until having these monitors.No idea how long the batteries will last but mine are still going strong.I take the monitors off after every trip and store them inside the RV.If you have had tire problems you know you need these. Just go for it. If you have never had tire problems.....welcome to RVing. Your day will come. With these you can have that peace of mind and the ability to address issues before they become disasters.Oh by the way. Since I started changing out my tires every three to four years no more problems. An ounce of prevention is worth Thousands of dollars of body panel reconstruction when that tire blows going down the highway.

I purchased this on the advice of the RV repair shop I used for extensive repairs on my Motorhome with a tow car. Installation was simple and I bought the 10 transmitter pack to cover the vehicle and tow tires. Since installation I have received daily false alarms where the pressure will show extremely low, and the temperature something that makes no sense, like -40 degrees. The alarm will go away after a few minutes. This is with the signal booster installed and even while parked in a rural area with very little chance for interference.I contacted Minder support, and they suggested replacing the batteries. I did so, and continued to receive false alarms from every transmitter. They they replaced the Bluetooth receiver. Initially, they said they were replacing the transmitters too, but when I received the package it only has the transmitter. I continued receiving false alarms.I contacted them again, and they said they would send 6 replacements transmitters. When I received the box, the was a SINGLE transmitter. I am a single full time RV traveller, and need to plan to receive mail. The back and forth with them has taken over a month, and they STILL have not fixed the problem.My experience has been constant false alarms, slow back and forth with support, undelivered promised replacements, and a high price, plus so much time to try and give them a good faith effort to fix the problems that the return window expired.Would have been nice if it worked, but based my my experience I recommend you stay away from this product and look for something different. I regret my purchase and all the time spent allowing them to try and get this flawed system to work properly.Update after a year: I hate this system even more and do not use it. Has never worked properly. Noisy and annoying beeps from receiver. Software is awkward to user years out of date, and never updated. I regret this purchase and resent the $500+ as well as the wasted time I spent on it.

This is one of the best items I have ever purchased. The instructions are very easy to follow and set up. I use this with my Moto Droid phone. First you go to the App Store and download Tire Minder. (It’s free). Follow the instructions as they are written and by which tire it tells you to start with. I did not have to use the signal booster for my Class C Thor. Be sure when you travel that your phone is on blue tooth. You’ll get alerts if your tire pressure drops on your phone, plus the receiver will beep and blink red. When you set this up, Be SURE to set the max tire pressure, it’s very important for accuracy. These fit on your valve stems tight and perfect. One tip, I put in one extra pound because when you put these on, you loose air! It’s not defective, it’s how each cap determines the pressure. This is one item you should have if you own a motorhome. Keeping tire pressure monitored is extremely important as one flat could cause a major crash. These are well built, are accurate, and easy to install. The battery in the monitor lasts a long time. I used this for 1776 miles with out charging it. It does come with everything you need to charge it and a booster for those with big motorhomes. It comes with extra batteries which is great to have if one battery gets weak or dies. Excellent quality, easy to set up, easy to use, and monitor.

I decided to get this tire pressure monitor system with the app because I didn't want yet another screen for our RV travels. I had read some reviews that loved it and some that absolutely hated them and had lots of problems. Here is my experience:1. Installation - Super easy to install. Take off the caps on the individual tire pressure monitors, insert the batteries on each one, screw them onto the tires. I did not use the security clip things after reading they caused these to leak air a lot of times. I then zip tied the transponder part on the frame near the battery and clipped it onto the battery leads for power. For the car monitor itself you just have to charge that up and turn it on.2. App use - After installing them on the tires you connect your phone via bluetooth to the transponder in the vehicle and then set up where each of the tire pressure devices is on the tires. This just took a few minutes. They all connected instantly in the app. You also need to set a baseline for everything so it knows when to alert. The app then tells you the pressure and the temperature of each tire.The app is a little dated, but supposedly an update is coming. However, it works. It's easy to read and figure out pressure and temperature. I haven't had any issues with them giving false alarms or not reading correctly after a few trips and a few hundred miles.The only issue I had was the first one I got sent had a bad transponder that wouldn't charge up. Amazon quickly exchanged it for me and the second one has been great. I think I can give a good recommendation on these after using them quite a bit. Hopefully they continue to work problem free.

After two flat tires in our Winnebago View in two days, i could not take the stress any more and bought this set. Very easy to set up. I set the base pressures at 61 even though i was running them at 65 because of carrying a motorcycle on the back. The first 30 minutes of running down the road the tires naturally heated up and increased the tire pressure to 74. This set of warnings on the first two tires to hit that pressure. Each tire turned red on the screen and it said " warning high tire pressure". Took me 2 minutes to adjust the base pressure to 65 as i should have at first and no more warnings. Works great. Some people have said their system shows incorrect tire pressure. Mine showed within 1 psi of what my gauge showed. LOVE them and wish i had bought before i did.

Nearly had a RV tire blow last year, when I arrived at the campsite and could see metal coming through the rubber. After that I put on better tires and got the TPMS for a little more peace of mind. Have only used it on too small trips and so far no misreadings as others have mentioned. Have a 2 week trip coming up for full test. If I don't update assume all is well.Installation was super easy. For the extender I looked at several spots on the RV (28') and decided to go with a bit of a safe one and I attached directly to the battery and strapped it in the case. So this appeared to work well, as I previously mentioned, no false signals. I already have a back up place worked out under the trailer if I have connectivity issues. it would definitely provide a better spot for signal, but then open to the environment. I wonder if that might be why some people have problems.The caps themselves screw on without issue and there is a little locking nut to help prevent theft. Removing the cap top and inserting the battery was easy. The IOS app has not been updated in a couple years and this worried me. But it worked fine and setup was easy. Tell it which wheel in the picture and screw the cap on, within seconds you were done and onto second part.Honestly the entire installation can be done in 15 minutes, took me a bit longer only because I couldn't decide where to put the transmitter.I think having the bluetooth to your phone is a great idea over the other versions with a reader. My truck does not have TPMS and if all works well, I will buy 4 more censors

Don't buy if you're outside the US or Canada.This product is listed for sale by Amazon on the Amazon Australian site. I bought it on the basis I couldn't find any other CarPlay compatible TPMS. I took delivery of the product, installed it and it mostly works as expected.Minder (Valterra) customer support stated that the product is "not operational outside US and Canada".The product is operational, but it is not a good fit for metric countries (ie most of the world) or for countries that drive on the left hand side of the road for the following reasons:1. The CarPlay display refers to drivers side and passengers side of the vehicle. The orientation is not configurable so is incorrect for LHS countries.2. The units of measure are fixed at PSI and degrees Fahrenheit. No Bar/Celcius configuration.There are other issues that should be noted:1. The transponder I received had no back plate on it, leaving an exposed circuit board.2. The documentation for the app is completely different to the shipped TireMinder Lite app3. The QR code that links to the App Store is incorrect and invalid.I was informed by customer support that US/Canada resellers had been provided with updated documentation for their stock. My product was still sealed and all parts were in sealed bags so it appeared to be new stock. So I can't verify this claim.

The TireMinder TPMS worked flawlessly. To my surprize, the transmitters registered very close to the tire gauge cold pressure settings (+- 3psi). They were linear going up and down with good repeatability while traveling. There was no noticeable drifting amongst each other. Temperatures seems very accurate as well (+- a few degrees from ambient) and temperatures rose 3 to 4 degrees while traveling as expected and returned to ambient when cooled off. Initially I had issues with the BT transmitter communicating with my Android phone but customer service fixed the issue lightning fast by updating the firmware. Very happy with this purchase, exceeded my expectations.

This TPMS was easy to install. The size of the transmitter on the wheel is acceptable. Nice safety device to have on a trailer when you consider the amount of damage can be caused by blowout.

Installed the TPMS and on our first trip they more than paid for themselves. I installed this on our 36 ft diesel pusher Motorhome after having new tires put on. Before my trip I noticed one of the inside dual tires was losing air so I returned to the tire shop and found out one of the braided valve stem extensions was faulty and causing my tire to deflate very slowly. We headed out on our trip and after traveling on 60 kms the alarm went off on the TPMS monitor. We checked the phone app and found our tires had gained about 15 psi and heating up. We pulled off the highway and after checking the tire pressure with a tire pressure gauge, found that the reading on the TPMS matched the tire pressure gauge. We let air out of the tires and the alarm went off and we continued to monitor the TPMS for the next hour but we didn’t have any further issues. I believe this purchase paid for itself with both of those issues and potentially saving us from a serious blowout.
