Is the gear indicator display removable?

Yes, it’s easy. Mine had a small black plastic cover that came in the box. Find the mounting bolt, remove indicator, replace with cover. Think it’s a .5mm hex bolt.

Im confused, is the rear shifter for 10 or 11 speed?

11 speed... By the way, this is just the right(rear) shifter...

Yes it has that red sign but it doesn't have the numbers of which gear is.
