Some small differences from the first release but it plays just as well. Rivers on the map are much easier to see than first edition.

We are enjoying the game. Learned about it from friends. A bit more expensive that other games we have purchased, but such is live under COVID. Game arrived within the stated time frame.

The game was in great condition when it was delivered, even with a plastic wrap around it. I enjoy these crayon rail building and delivery games and look forward to playing it soon.

I love all the Mayfair Rails games! But if you are only going to buy one, chose either Empire Builder or European Rails. This one has some issues. First off, like most of the first-run editions, it's all in black and white. The playing pieces all have little stickers that you have to apply to them - and they are missing some. They say there are 2 circuses and 5 pilgrims in the game, but there are only stickers for 1 circus and 3 pilgrims. Since the stickers are all on one sheet, and the sheet wasn't ripped or damaged, this must be a flaw in the game. Second, the board is A LOT SMALLER. Most of the games, the puzzle playing board is six pieces, and the country is large enough to read the cities and towns. This one, although India is a large country - and the game includes the surrounding countries of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and two others I can't think of right now, the playing board is only four pieces. The board is thinner - substandard quality, and it warped. We have ours sitting under a set of books right now to try to flatten it out. The spots are smaller and closer together, so I know it won't wear well. We literally played the SPOTS OFF our Empire Builder game and have to replace it! But that took years of playing to do. I'm not sure that India rails will last that long. And because the spots are smaller, and the towns and cities are smaller, they are harder to read. I do like the addition of some newer products. I will play this game again. But I really LOVE Martian Rails! We own Empire Builder (USA), Eurorails, Lunar Rails, Martian Rails, Nepon Rails (Japan), China Rails and India. I would place India as my least favorite of them all - but that's like saying, "what's your least favorite flavor of ice cream?" I love all ice cream!
