Do you have to go through a deep descale cleaning like a Keurig? My Keurig clogged all the time!

I still have my manual and it explains on page 10. Short version- Every couple of months put 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water into the water tank. Now brew until the water is gone. Then fill one time with clear water and brew until empty to clean the tank from any left over vinegar scent. You are done and can use normally. I have had this coffee maker/ hot water dispenser for over 2 years. Its a work horse we use all day. I have only descaled mine once. It works perfectly and i use a tap filter so i dont have hard water.

Is there a reusable filter that can be used with this?

It doesn't come with one, but there are reusable filters that you can buy separately.

How tall is this? I want it to fit under the counter.

It is surprising as tall as a standard coffee maker, but with the catch basin it sticks out a little farther than our Krup standard coffee maker. The catch basin is removable so it does fit in our coffee brewing cabinet,

Do you have to put the exact amount of water for the ounce of coffee you want

No there is a reservoir to hold the water. The appropriate quantity of water is dispensed depending on the cup size you choose, between 6 and 12 oz.
