Slightly damaged
Very slight damage upon receipt (corners of the book used) but overall ok

Missing Venezuela, not up to date anymore
Good guide, however a lot is outdated now. I'm also very disappointed that they don't have Venezuela in here.

Amazon jak to ma w zwyczaju znowu wrzucił książkę luzem do koperty i ta przez to trochę zniszczyła się w transporcie.

A good guide transforms your experience
Travel guides are out of fashion. Many travellers rely on the internet, checking out "Top 10 things to do in..." lists before they arrive (or sometimes even after they've arrived" in historic or scenic locations. But people: reading a bit more deeply into the background of a place, its customs, history and quirks, can transform your experience. Take my arrival in San Pedro de Atacama, in Northern Chile. I fancied lunch in the courtyard of an arts centre, but thought the dish of the day "Pastel de Choclo" sounded a bit too sweet. Then I remembered reading in my Lonely Planet guide that "Pastel de Choclo" is a kind of corn cake, sometimes made with cheese. I went in and had one of the best meals of my six-week trip. The moral of the story is: buy that guide! You won't regret it.
