Is this suitable for the zip on a wedding dress, I'm terrified of getting a stain on the dress?

I used this product very successfully on a cotton summer dress I wore to a graduation -the applicator is quite fine and you can just use it very carefully. I was quite concerned about staining too, but thankfully it was all fine. Another good thing about this product is that the zip has stayed smooth since the application last year, I have not had to repeat it. However if you are still worried about staining then -for a wedding dress -it might be worth getting a seamstress to change the zip?
