Genuine, compatible and a breeze to install
This is a genuine Grohe replacement part and worked perfectly replacing the worn out faucet head of our 22 year old Grohe Lady Lux pull out sprayer. HUGE THANKS to the reviewer who encourages having extra washers on hand. The faucet comes with the internal screen and internal fixed washer it needs however we needed the additional washer for the hose right where they screw together and it leaked until we put it in place. With that, it was super easy and both matches perfectly and works great. Some reviewers mentioned it’s not solid metal but made of plastic with a metal like finish. Whatever it is it looks great and feels substantial. We will see how it wears but it’s a winner for us.

Buy the O-ring and use some grease to install.
The wand was an exact substitute for my 20 year old Grohe wand. Color is better match than the original. Easy to unscrew. After removing old O-ring, put some plumbers grease in the groove and all over the O-ring. Insert into wand and tighten with a pair of pliers. No leak. Works as new. Would buy again.

Buy the O ring too
This is a more recent review since the faucet head no longer comes with loose parts. My Grohe faucet is the original one with the spring around the hose instead of the weight. I needed to replace both the faucet head and the hose. The plastic filter was seated in the faucet head when I took it out of the box and there were no loose parts. Thanks to the reviews here, I also purchased a new O ring. I first tested the new faucet head without replacing the O ring and found that it dripped a bit. I unscrewed the head, dropped in the new O ring, and that took care of the drip. The faucet head works perfectly and seats nicely in the old faucet. It’s not an exact duplicate and not made of the same materials as the original, but it does the trick if you don’t want to buy and install an entire new faucet. I didn’t. Yeah it’s expensive but the finish is a fairly good match. (I bought the Real Steel finish that is close enough to the faucet’s matte-like appearance.). Buy the Grohe O ring. And if you use the old spring on the hose, don’t let it get tangled, lol.

Constant drip in stream/flow mode
I purchased the replacement faucet part as my older one has the flow/stream function/button worn out after multiple years of use. I found this replacement part online and since it was available with Amazon I purchased it, along with the O ring that folks had mentioned in the q&a section and comments. The replacement was simple and took less than 5 minutes but when I start the flow in normal mode water constantly drips from some of the spray nozzles. I tried to lower/increase the flow but no change. Not sure if there's something I need to change in the install or the part is defective. My older one never had this problem in normal mode. Hoping that tech support can help fix it or send a replacement part or else will have to return this part back and replace the complete faucet. Video describing the issue attached.

Back to that O Ring
On the end of the retractable 3/8" coil steel hose/ spray head connection point (NOT on this new part you are buying) you will see a little rubber 1/4" or so O ring, after you unscrew and detach this hose from the old spray head. Looks fine right? NO! Looks can be deceiving! Even though it looks perfectly OK it needs to be removed and replaced with the O Ring Grohe makes (Part 01224000) and which is available for $7 on this Grohe spray head replacement Amazon website as an add-on. It must be purchased because whether you know it or not the old O Ring is worn out and will not seal the joint properly. Once you install the new O Ring by removing the old one with a very sharp pointed object like a knife end, and carefully slip the new O Ring over the hose end into the groove it is seated in, you will 'feel' the new O ring 'seal' the joint as you slip the sprayer head onto the end of the water hose. IMPORTANT! Failure to replace the O Ring will result in a leak at this joint that will not be immediately evident, as the water will leak down the hose and eventually pool under the sink out of sight! Believe me, I know, as I was awoken by my wife at 4am who, while starting her cleaning chores, noticed that a large pool of water had accumulated under all the stuff stored under the sink. Guess who she woke up to get it fixed!!!! Buy the O Ring and like another guy said be careful to keep the hose from slipping back into the faucet assembly as you replace the O Ring and sprayer head! Teflon plumber's tape wound around the old O Ring is no substitute for the new O Ring. I tried that on the old O ring and that did not help. By the way, the new sprayer head has a little cylindrical shaped strainer that is loose in the package. This little part slips into the sprayer head with the flat part facing towards the water supply hose and the pointed end towards the sprayer nozzle head.

Good customer support
I received the first unit, which did not function correctly. It would not switch reliably between spray and stream. I contacted Amazon, who were very helpful and set a replacement unit out right away. I contacted Amazon and a replacement was received the next day. This worked.
