good, tasty; but u have 2 know what ur getting (fish in a can is not the healthiest version) --HANDY
wish they had a no-salt or low-salt version, but if you ignore the high salt content, it's an excellent 'fish-in-a-can' product.the fact that it's packed in canola oil oil, is also problematic. canola oil is among the cheapest for manufacturers, but not good (i.e., not healthy for consumption).my method is to not only thoroughly drain off ALL the oil, but also carely placing the fish on thick layers of paper towel and patting off as much of the oil remaining on the fish itself as i can (carefully, to keep the fillets intact), including top, bottom and sides.thirdly, i very gently and lightly rinse the fillets with water (at an angle), and do the whole patting, all over again --to remove as much of the remaining oil as i possibly can (obviouly it's a lot of extra work --so that just shows you how bad i consider it, to needlessly ingest any amount of canola oil). it likely removes a bit of the needless excess salt as well, but i have no why to say for sure.anyway, it's definitely tasty, and i love that it's "skinless & boneness," even though it's never 100% skinless or 100% boneless --but it mostly is. i buy it routinely, as an alternative to canned sardines and canned tuna (both of which i also routinely keep in stock), because they're all handy to keep around, in case i run low on main dish or meal items:add a few nice tomatoes cut into wedges, some tangy onion slices, and some tasty bread, to this can of smoked trout --and you've got a tasty, handy (and not too unhealthful) full plate of dinner (when there's nothing else, because you ran out of main dish items and were too tired to go to the store).

Very good for canned fish.
Pricey for what is probably farm raised trout, but quality is there. If you compare the portion to a restaurant serving and price, not a bad deal. Fish is firm and not mushy. No strong fishy taste which surprised me as trout is usually prepared from fresh caught fish and I have never had great luck freezing it as it degrades taste and texture.

Way better than expected.
Pleasantly surprised by the flavor. It tastes good. The texture is a little rubbery, but it's canned fish -- what do you really expect. Whenever the price is right I'll stock up.
User
It was what I expected. Perfect for long camping or bike trips.
Tasty.

From Latvia
These seriously do taste good. They are from Latvia, which has a thriving fish farm economy. If I knew they weren't farmed, I'd give them a 5, but I don't

Try it you’ll love it!
OMG this is so good. I usually don’t buy bubble bee brand but I decided to try this , boy was i surprised, the flavor was more than i expected the smoke flavors are just right not overpowering. Now I’m hooked. I eat them for breakfast with eggs, I put them in my salads I even tried them in my penne pasta with marinara sauce and yes it was delicious. I put these trout on everything.
