Cheap and well built
I could have made one but it would have taken more time. In all honesty this item works if you take your time and apply downward pressure while u twist. Can’t go wrong for the price. Works on 99-07 f350 that I know of. I don’t know if the 08-23 use the same type of retaining ring but based on a quick google image search, it’s the same type of retaining ring (plastic with raise indentations). So im going to say it works 99-23. If u take out quite a few of them, weld the arms in place. Or even buy a few since they are that cheap and weld them in place for the “big three” truck manufacturers. I don’t know why you would fault the tool if it doesn’t work or it busted your ring retainer - it’s not specific to just one particular vehicle. Takes some skill and know-how to avoid damaging the retainer. Sometimes it’s unavoidable all together. I generally remove the retainer with a blunt chisel and it works well but I wanted something I can remove and tighten the retainer ring faster and more consistently. This fits the bill.

Worked Perfect for my Audi TT 2002 Mk1
Used this on my 2002 Mk1 Audi TT Quattro 225HP. The tool is all steel and uses wing nuts to lock the arms in place. The wing nuts do loosen with continued use but I only needed this for the first couple turns and then it was loose enough for my hand to get the cap the rest of the way off. I had no issues and quality was good enough to get the job done. No complaints.

Glad I bought it, even though it could not get my stuck 2012 Corolla fuel pump ring off
Even though this tool fit my 2012 Corolla fuel tank ring very nicely, I could not remove the ring with it. When I started breaking the plastic tabs off of the ring, I gave up and cut the old ring off and bought a new ring ($48 from my local Toyota dealer). This tool is designed and built well enough that I gave it 4 stars. The two legs that stick down have square shoulders at the top, so they fit well in the slots in the bar and do not turn, which is good. One simple but big improvement I made was to add 5/16 inch split washers under the wing nuts. I did use the tool to screw on the new ring, which is enough to justify the purchase. Even though I could not remove my old ring with this tool, I don't blame the tool. That ring just was not going to come off without a fight. I used my best 24 inch breaker bar and I put some pretty good torque on it. I also tried a hammer and pry bar to loosen the ring first. I do wonder if I had a helper to push down on the tool while I used both hands on the breaker bar if that would have worked? I don't think having just 2 feet instead of the 4 that I saw on more expensive tools was the issue. The curved ends of the feet and the slots fit my Corolla ring very well and it felt very secure, especially with the added split washers. Again, overall I was very happy with the tool. BTW, it was very easy to cut the plastic ring off using a Dremel tool. The attached photo shows that there is just enough screw length to add a split washer. Also note the curved shape of the foot, it fit my Corolla ring perfectly.
