Sperry Men's Authentic Original 2-Eye Leather Boat Shoe, Smooth Brown, 10.5

I have several pairs of these. I wear the nice ones to work and out on the town. when they get worn they move down to casual wear (and actual use as deck shoes), then to yardwork etc, then when painting or working in the boatyard. When they get stinky I throw them in a bucket overnight with an ounce of clorox, rinse well, and oil them up again. If they are grungy they get slippery inside when they get wet. But If they get wet they dry out again as good as new. Eventually (after 10 -20 years) the sole wears out and the stitching falls off, and I toss them. These were reasonably priced, and I know they will hold up. The texture on the bottom of the sole has changed in the last few decades, but they still have the excellent non-skid siping.

These Sperry boat shoes are a wonderful replacement/alternative to the badly/cheaply redesigned-by-private-equity Rockport boat shoes. They are comfortable and unlike the new Rockport design, the heel area drawstring actually works to tighten shoe fit. I’m very pleased with these Sperry shoes.

I have been wearing Sperry Topsiders for 45 years. This was my first purchase from Amazon, August 7th. Due to a medical procedure I didnt wear these for 2 months, just started wearing them a couple weeks ago AND THE FRONT OF THE SOLE SNAPPED OFF!!I have worn ALL my Topsiders until the soles wore out, the tip of this sole just snapped off today. Shoes are clean as a whistle, harly looked worn at all.Unfortunately I am past the window of opportunity from Sperry to return or replace these and there's no way I can find to contact the seller.Beware....

I wear a lot New Balance shoes and my shoe # is 10.5 and Nike 11, so I order the Sperry 10.5 and it’s huge, I want to exchange but the vendor didn’t have a smaller size. But I’m sure they are great shoes when you find the right size

I'm not going to lie - I love boat shoes, a lot! What's in the picture is a small sample. Not all boat shoes are created equal though. Many company's, Sperry included, have started removing the leather linings and replacing them with cheaper cloth linings that will smell and aren't as comfortable barefoot (your feet sweat more in them). Sperry still offers there old school versions, the AO or Authentic Originals. Yes, it's still leather lined and a true-moc design. I'm also old enough to remember boat shoes having solid rubber soles that lasted 5 to 10 years depending on how much they were worn - Sperry's included. Now, Sperry has switched to a blown plastic / rubber sole. This is MUCH lighter than the old soles AND are much more comfortable (more bounce). So, the trade off is more comfort or longer lasting, Sperry went with more comfort. You'll be lucky to get 1 to 3 years out of these, but they will be great looking, and very comfortable years. If you want old school construction, go with the Timberlands (2 from left), but do know that they will not be nearly as comfortable to walk in and will have a break in period. All most all other brands, Sebago (shoe on left) included, have switched to comfort over durability except for the hand made brands that cost a fortune. So, if you want a great looking, super comfortable, very versatile shoe, Sperry's AO's will work great, just not as long as you once remembered them to.

They’re really good! The material is amazing and is true to size, they’re just like the picture and it goes a long with any summer outfit you want to wear! Will definitely buy again.

I am a competitive sailor. I also like having a shoe that looks pretty good under casual conditions and that I can just slip on at the last minute. The Sperry Top-Sider fits the bill on all fronts. This shoe is excellent on a wet, listing deck. I do occasionally wear a shoe for certain conditions when sailing, namely if it's quite hot and my feet are guaranteed to be getting sopping wet. But, even when it's chilly outside, I will race in these while wearing Gore Tex socks. Great shoes. They've been around forever for a reason.

Anyone buying these knows what they are. This is the same shoe I've worn for 30+ years and when it was time to retire my last pair I ordered these. Quick shipping, the classic topsider I know and love at a good price AND they had halfsizes (the two stores I stopped at didn't).Nice to know this shoe is still around exactly as it has been.

The shoes arrived on time well packed and looked as it was presented.This is the second time I have bought these shoes for my husband. Although they are meant to be boat shoes, he wears them as house shoes and he loves them. That is good enough for me plus the fact that they are comfortable elegant and last for good few years. I will buy them again and do recommend it.

Bel mocassino da barca. Ben rifinito e pelle robusta. Suola con impunture, ma profonde, non credo si possano usurare facilmente. Calzano poco, e le ho restituite perche il numero superiore non era piu' disponibile.
