I've installed dash cams on several other cars and it's always been a hassle to get the wires tucked out of sight and to get the camera installed in just the right spot so it doesn't block your field of vision. Then during the dog days of summer, the adhesive invariably fails and the dash cam hangs down, dangling by the power cord. This innovative design is easy to install, requires no special wire routing and does not need adhesive pads. I watched the YouTube video and read the instructions and within 20 minutes the camera was installed and running perfectly. If you didn't know it was there, you would likely never notice it. It looks like a factory installed option! I did upgrade the video card to a higher capacity but the provided card is fine for normal use. Plug and play!

The dashcam provides high-quality video recording with a 4K front camera. I am taking away one star because the app takes just too long to connect in most cases.

It took me 30 minutes to install as I was being super careful (definitely check out the youtube video). Once done it looks perfect and the video quality is surprisingly good. There is no frame drop or whatsoever. I am using the micro SD that comes with the camera as well. Now only time will tell how reliable this thing is in the upcoming summer.

I got hit and run and car was totaled in October 2024. I had a 2023 Volvo XC60 Polestar that was $79K and only had 7,800 miles on it when I was hit/totalled. The Fitcamx took video as expected and shows the driver who caused the accident but even though there's a clear view of his license plate, no one can read the plate number in the video to identify the hit-and-run driver. So sure, it took the video but the camera is useless unless plate numbers can be read. Really disappointed.

This is my first dashcam and it is great. I was able to install it. The hardest thing for me was taking off the plastic behind the rearview mirror. The YouTube video did a wonderful job at explaining it. I received a message from the company to verify my vehicle to ensure it was the correct model that would fit. It was but I appreciate them checking before it was shipped. That was great customer service. Here is an update after accident. I totaled my vehicle and can NOT retrieve any data. Can not turn vehicle on to download anything and unable to locate sd card with data.

Watch the YouTube video, but the install requires it to be installed on the larger cover first when installing, you need to remove the larger cover of the safety system and install the camera there first. Then install the unit. Other than that, easy install

This cam works well considering the price. It fits the interior of my Volvo perfectly to. No one even knows it didn’t come from the manufacturer.

Good enough for factory look in my S60.
