Let's face it--a good barbecue sauce is the Swiss Army knife of condiments. More interesting than ketchup, more versatile than mustard, and doesn't have the "ick" aversion factor that many hold for mayonnaise. It can be sweet, smokey, spicy, mild, or really whatever you want. But there are a lot of BBQ sauces from which to choose. I happened to read an article comparing 10 different kinds of sauces and Bachan's was in the photo accompanying the story. I love BBQ sauce and have tried all different kinds but had never seen Bachan's before. I know--where have I been? So I hopped online and got this two pack and man, am I glad that I did. Bachan's BBQ is awesome! In fairness, I've only tried the hot & spicy one so far, but it's great. Not overwhelmingly hot; just enough to give a little bit of warm feeling in your mouth. The flavor is really nice; soy sauce-based, good rich umami flavor. I've put it on everything from eggs to burgers to macaroni & cheese to ramen; even thrown a touch on pizza. Love it across the board. Enhances without being overpowering (as long as you don't flood the food with half of the bottle!). I can't wait to try the original flavor, but I already consider this purchase to be a success regardless. Buy it; try it; it's worth it!

This stuff is amazing and delicious like the title says. It's good on everything, but don't marinate eggs in it overnight. The eggs become rubbery and really dense and not appealing at all. They'll look like seasoned ramen eggs, but something in the BBQ sauce makes the egg whites thick and rubbery like it removed the moisture from them. Other than that, it's delicious on eggs, noodles, lo mein, rice, whatever, just don't leave your eggs in it overnight.

LOVE these BBQ sauces. Flavor is fantastic, highly recommend. Dont think of these as a sweet one though, definitely more smoky.

These are some very tasty sauces. Similar in flavor to teriyaki sauce and viscous enough to stick to ribs, chicken, etc. Because of the high sugar content, I wouldn't marinate meats in this sauce because they'll burn on the grill. However, the sauce works great to baste or drizzle at or near the end of cooking. It also makes a great condiment for rice, veggies, or whatever else floats your boat. On the downside, at about $10 per bottle, it seems a bit spendy compared to what I can get in my local grocery store.

It's salty. Like, taste like they put too much salt in here. Accident or is that what this is supposed to taste like? I taste way more of the salt, than the actual flavor. Like the salt is overpowering, 10x. I think this would be good for something that needs flavoring, and salt. Like instead of adding salt to something, you can put this stuff on it for flavor and salt. Maybe it might taste good then. No bueno from me though. I wouldn't purchase again. It's just not the sauce for me. It might be for others, but, just wasn't a taste for me!
