The form factor of the saw is ideal for me. Very pleased with the choice and the price!
I received the DCS565B (tool-only option) saw in an unmarked brown box. Along with the saw, I found the dust chute attachment, and the wrench snugly sitting in the holder on the right side of the saw's handle. Additionally, there were the usual paperwork and documents (manuals and notice sheets) However, I initially thought the T18 rippling blade was missing. The unmarked brown packaging made me doubtful about the saw's authenticity. Two days later, I carefully checked the packaging again and found the Dewalt 6-1/2" T18 ripping saw blade press-packed in a brown cardboard sheet, which had initially seemed like scrap cardboard. The 6-1/2" saw is just the right size and weight for me, and with all items accounted for, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Pleasure to use
I work mostly in a workshop setting and didn't think I had much use for a circular saw. Changed my mind having spent a few days with this one offsite. Perfect size; ergonomics. Powerful enough to handle 2x4s comfortably. Light enough to use single-handed (which I suppose you shouldn't really do). Blade stops instantly on release of trigger. No waiting for blade to spin down after every cut. Dead-straight cuts. You need a spare battery in the charger if you're going to be working all day but the 5ah battery seemed to last quite a while even with heavy usage.With a 60-tooth blade, I can see this being my go-to saw from now on for plywood instead of trying to wrestle with big panels on my table saw.

Terribly weak
Very weak. So weak in fact that when I tried to cut timber the blade would come to a halt but the motor continued to spin. I was only 2cm into the cut before it stopped.Unless it can be fixed by Dewalt I won't be changing my rating.

Great product
I really like this little cordless circular saw. Works great and less bulky than a plug-in circular saw, cuts are no problems.I did upgrade the blade to a Diablo blade though and that seems to work a little bit better than the original
