Got this for my wife's keyboard. Added a 19" gooseneck mic extension and it works really well. Fits well in the round tube end of the Rockville RKS30X Double X Braced Keyboard Stand we are using. I like how easy it was to install and it's rock solid. It's also easy to remove for transport. With ours I also attached a tray and phone holder that was on the mic stand. To have a better mounting spot for those I installed two 3.35" mic stand extension tubes. Best of all we don't have to deal with a boom style mic stand. Cleans up the front area of the keyboard.

This attachment does what it is supposed to do well and at a great price. It attaches to the stand firmly with no slippage. It holds a laptop tray stable as long as the thumbscrew for changing the adaptor from threaded to u-mount is screwed tight. I would however recommend that potential buyers consider the height of their keyboard on the tier under the stand before they commit to the purchase. It really is quite short, so I am unable to mount my laptop on the stand above my electric piano at all and whilst I am able to mount it above my midi controller it does obscure a number of the controls.

Very handy little gadget. I have 2. One with a boom for the mic. and one to hold an iPad. No danger of a mic stand falling over now.

Took a chance and bought this at discount in "acceptable" condition. It was like new. So I inserted the expander into the keyboard stand, tightened it up, and was really pleased by how sturdy the adapter was. Next was a surprise bonus - it included a micro boom stand in the box. This made it even better, and finally I attached a gooseneck 16" to the boom and a mic. Can't wait for my keyboard playing friends to enjoy it! Only minor drawback was that the "quick lock" option was not included. This didn't affect my plans for it anyway. (it's a small insert that probably got lost - the micro boom more than makes up for it!) . Buy this product if you have no room for space-hogging mic stands. - I will try spray painting the gooseneck to black.
