F Edsrdus O-Ring Silicone Lubricant SG02 Food Grade, Clean, Dielectric and Seals Out Moisture 3OZ(85g) x1 Pack

I used this in my RV toilet. The seal was hard and not functioning correctly. Clean everything very good. Turn off the water, use disposable gloves on your hands. Apply this product to the seal ring of the flapper valve. I let it sit over night then came back the next day and applied a 2nd coat. Did not use RV for a time? Now the toilet retains water between uses and maintained a water/oder tight seal. I do carry remaining tube in RV for various rubber grommets, windows door seals.

I use this for o rings, gaskets, rubber, plastic and hi-temp lube applications. Nice viscosity with no lumps. Keeps corrosion/rust away and prevents paint/glue from sticking.

Seems to be good quality dialectic grease.

Those GE whole house water filters come with a tiny tube of lubricant for the large O-ring. It won't last very long (maybe a year). If you attempt to reinstall the filter canister with a dry O-ring, it can bunch up and not seal well and water will then leak out around the top of the canister. All that's needed is a dab or two of this food grade silicone lubricant spread over the O-ring and then installation is so much easier. This tube should last you a very, very long time. I keep mine near our spare water filter cartridges.

I had purchased six Rubbermaid food storage containers that are dishwasher and microwave safe with rubber gaskets making them virtually air tight. But the tops for an 81 year old man with arthritic hands were very difficult to remove. While almost any silicone lubricant would have done the job, I wanted one that had been rated food safe. I applied a small amount of this lubricant using a Q-tip to each of the rubber gaskets. Now removing them is almost effortless. I do rinse the lids off using cold water separately so as to avoid losing the lubricant in a dishwasher. But this silicone lubricant has made it possible for me to enjoy my Rubbermaid purchase.

I was looking for dielectric grease and found this which is dielectric and for o rings AND significantly less expensive than dielectric grease alone.

Worked perfectly to lube lid oring on vacuum chamber for dry food jar sealing. Quality product works as should. Will be very useful for other tasks as well.
