Yeah, it's good. It's very good.
Elden Ring is an extremely well-made game. Not the best I've personally played, but that's a matter of taste more than anything. As an example of this kind of game however - difficult to master, deliberately bleak, massively open-world, to name a few - it's hard to see it being topped any time soon. Despite my preferences lying elsewhere however, I willingly poured in all the hours this game solicits from its players, with the come-hither finger-curl of the cryptically-clad demi-god seductress, pointing you on towards a horizon as full of promise as it foreboding. My jungle brain duly got itself hooked seeing my character's levels tick upwards; my stubborn pride pushed me to challenge foes well above my standing, over and over like a pre-steroid Steve Rogers; and yes, my wrists succumbed to carpel tunnel syndrome. All sacrifices I found myself happy to lay at the feet of the coruscating Erdtree. Game of the year, definitely. And as a hitherto souls virgin with no prior bias, I’d say that’s high praise.

Great game for veterans and beginners
Brought this game after months of my friends begging me to get it and found myself pleasantly surprised how good it was despite what people say this game is far easier then any of the darksouls gams iv played including bloodborn and demon souls Don’t get me wrong the game is very difficult and iv had it for nearly a month and still haven’t beaten it Non the less the game is a visual treat and fantastic for those who like a challenging game and definitely recommend getting a copy to anyone I think can handle it

And I'm NOT a souls player at all
Elden Ring is a vast game with lots of places to explore, enemies and bosses to fight AND as stated in the title of this review, I've not played a souls game before this. So, did I find this game to be annoying, hard as heck, almost have me permanently rage quit on multiple occasions, yep, imagine my surprise when I actually completed it for the first time. Then I completed it again, and again and again. At that point my PS4 disk drive died, I eventually got a PS5 and got back to it there, AND during New Game+ 4, I downloaded the DLC, Shadow of The Erdtree, which is ten times harder lol Eventually finishing it once. Currently my Elden Ring is having a break having achieved the Platinum Trophy on PS5, the first Platinum Trophy I have ever gotten on the first Souls game I've played, you can't make that up lol There are many weapons and armor sets to find in game along with builds to try out, mine stayed fairly consistent but each to their own. Yes it is a hard game, yes you will die, yes you will lose runes, but when you eventually overcome the obstacles, it is such a great feeling, combining the PS4 and PS5 play time I've put in over 700hrs, this may be a record for me

Decent game but it is overhyped
It's a decent game but overhyped. Positives: Large game with many areas to visit and fight through. Very active online community for co-op although you do have some maidenless behaviour from some duelists. Lots of options for different build types so you can try different playstyles. It is generally easier than previous from software games- Negatives: There is almost no guidance in the game about where to go or what the objectives are. You will need to spend a lot of time reading online guides. Perhaps developers think this is cool and edgy but it's a pain in the backside. The graphics are uneven; some environments and enemies look good but others look poor. Bloodborne, a 7-year-old game, has more consistently good graphics. Whilst the game is generally easier than previous games, two of the bosses (Radahn and Melania) are amongst the hardest from software have made and it can break the game if you aren't able to summon co-op help. Overall, it's worth getting and , despite the inevitable deaths, is enjoyable but don't believe all the hype
