Must-Read for Anyone Serious About the Food Truck Business!
Must-Read for Anyone Serious About the Food Truck Business! This book is packed with valuable information from start to finish. Running a Food Truck For Dummies breaks everything down clearly — from permits and equipment to marketing, budgeting, and daily operations. It’s not just theory; it’s practical, real-world advice that actually helps you succeed. I’ve been in the food industry for a while, and I still learned a ton from this book. It covers things I hadn’t even considered, especially about location strategy and customer engagement. The writing is easy to follow and doesn’t waste your time with fluff. If you’re thinking about starting a food truck or already running one and want to improve, this book is worth every penny. Huge thanks to the author for putting together such a solid guide — it’s become my go-to reference!

Insightful and concise
Starting at the very beginning, the book takes you through the adventures of owning and running a food truck. As an owner of one in Greece for the past five years, it was still useful, although most references were for the US market

Worth Buying
After reading some of the other reviews which were mixed, I went ahead and purchased the book and glad that I did! It is, as stated, "Running a Food Truck for Dummies" so if you are expecting advanced information, you might be disappointed. However, as a Novice, I felt as thought his book was very informative and well worth reading. I had an opportunity to speak to a Food Truck/Trailer Entrepreneur who is quite successful in the field and he actually recommended that I pick this book up as it is one that he has used in the past and felt it had quite a good amount of value. After purchasing and reading "RFTfD" it has opened my eyes to the traveling food business and made me realize something's I had not even considered. NOTE: If you are someone who loves colored illustrations, etc. this book will leave you wanting, but the way that it is laid out is most definitely easy to follow, henceforth... For Dummies!

Extremely basic F&B
As a professional f&b consultant- I bought this out of Curiosity. It’s extremely basic. Might be OK for someone who has no education and management of food and beverage. However, I did not find it to be totally specific for a food truck..

Not helpful at ALL
The trouble I have with this book is that every chapter and piece of “advice” just advises the reader to do their own research for the answers. Who is the average food truck customer? Research it using obvious instructions on how anyone would research anything. What time of day is best for selling? Look it up yourself. Each enticing chapter title leads to the same advice, worded as differently as possible. It’s not for dummies (unless you plan on buying one) it’s for desperate fools looking for answers about a vast and undefinable industry- from a book. I found better advice online. Or from other food truck owners. Save your money. It just becomes frustrating.
