Can it detect all of "alpha", "beta", and "gamma" ??

The seller's wholesale dismissal of alpha radiation is irresponsible at best.  Just for a quick example both Radium-226 and it's decay product, Radon-222, decay purely by alpha radiation as do the other two naturally occurring isotopes of Radon.

While it is true it's not likely that one would use such a dosimeter/geiger counter to detect Radon, it would be used to detect Radium, which still can be found in vintage watches and older medical equipment.

Question 2

Why do they show it in use near hv transformers?  does it also detect em emissions in that range?

EM emissions are non-ionizing radiation, which means the particles do not have enough charge to cause damage to tissue.
Geiger counters detect ionizing radiation, the dangerous kind: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, X-ray, etc.

What is the difference between this model and the RD1503+ without dosimeter model?

This model does have the dosimeter function (see "DOSE" on the LCD screen), which means that it can switch between immediate radiation levels ("NOW") and accumulated dosage over time ("DOSE").Very useful when working in environments with even slightly raised radiation levels (warehouses, junk yards, granite canyons, treatment plants, etc.)

Is this detector EMP proof?

As a former designer of electronic circuits, I can opine with 99% certainty that it is NOT EMP proof. I say that because the outside is plastic (a non-shielding material), and the LCD screen also would not block radiation. I think to add EMP protection would raise the cost considerably!

FYI, I store my detector, when not in use, inside a metal container (with other electronics) because of its vulnerability to EMPs.
