It's wonderful

I have an expensive set of Wusthof knives at home that I CANNOT get the family to stop running through the dishwasher. So I decided to buy an adorable set of knives that are dishwasher safe. These knives are really great so far. Incredibly sharp right out of the box and so far so good on dishwasher resilience. I would not hesitate to buy these again or to recommend them to anyone. Great set of knives!

Ok so why the 5 star? I didn't expect pro chef knives from the get go! BUT for what I paid for them they are exceptional. Delivery was as expected, the quality of the knives at the moment seems to be (for the price) great. There are some reviews that complain about rust stains, mine are flawless (as they should be) so far we've used them on various things, veggies - meats no issues. They come sharp, and after each use they have been washed, dried and placed back in respective slots in the block (DRY) as intended. The sharpener is not intended to establish the bevels that create the edge, it's intended to maintain said bevels to keep the edge keen. That having been said a couple of light strokes after each use then wash and dry after use is all they will need to keep a good functional sharp edge. These knives are designed for home use not a restaraunt kitchen they are good quality and I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a decent set, for example for a first apartment etc etc. Great home kitchen knives for the price recommended.

Very sharp knives.

I've had this knife set for a few months so far. While I can't comment on longevity yet, in all other ways the knives are much nicer than I was expecting, especially at this price point. The handle is comfortable, the blade is firmly attached to the handle, the blades have retained their sharpness, and while there it is a little bend (primarily in the 5" utility knife), it's never been enough to be noticable during cooking, and definitely not enough to be unsafe. Overall, the set had all the knives I needed for a great price. These are not Wustof quality of course, but it's an affordable starter set that I would rank much higher than Farberware or other cheap knives or knife sets you would find at Target/Walmart/ect. Great for those just starting out, on a budget, or people that want a 'beater' set that they can then augment with a nicer knife or two. If you're not used to nice knives please be careful, these are VERY sharp.
