They come shrink wrapped. No worries, separate them and the next day they will be as seen in the image

Important to note, as I initially got this wrong and requested a refund. The sponges are very tightly vacuum packed, so at first they appear much flatter than expected. Once opened, they expand into full-sized, sturdy scourers. After using them, I’ve found them to be really effective; they clean well, have a good balance between softness & scrubbing power & seem durable so far. Overall, I’m very happy with the product & would give it a 5-star rating.

Cheap and effective

The sponges come vacuum packed and are completely flat. They don't expand on their own and even adding water doesn't expand them. You have to add soap and water and squish and manipulate them thoroughly so that they expand. After washing dishes with them a couple of times they expanded fully.
