Not at all like a fryer! It's AIR BAKER!
First of all, this does not even come close to comparing with frying food. This is an air BAKER. Anything you can bake, you can cook faster in this air baker and there is no need to pre-heat it. Totino's pizza rolls cook in 6 minutes and they are crispy and perfect just like in the oven but without heating up the entire house from the oven! Tater Tots take about 12 minutes and come out perfect! Trying to make french fries? They come out very, very dry. I didn't care for them at all. I tried some frozen breaded shrimp, and once again, they cooked much faster than the oven and were crunchy. I put a couple of frozen garlic knot rolls in there and they got a little over cooked on the outside, but were perfect in the center. Much, much faster than the oven! You do NOT want to put anything with a wet batter in here or the large fan inside will just splatter it all over the inside and the thing you battered won't be batter-less on top. You can use a traditional deep fryer to seal in a wet better and finish the cooking in this air baker, but if you have already pre-heated you oil and stuck your food in there, why not just finish it off in there? Basically, if you can bake it, this air baker will bake it faster. It is NOT a fryer and food does not taste like it came out of a fryer. What a terrible and deceiving name for this type of product. Some foods come out fantastic, and some come out terrible. You just have to experiment with it. Also, VERY HOT air comes out of the back of it. We are running out of counter space in the kitchen and placed this unit temporarily in front of my Keurig, only to discover it melted the handle on my Keurig machine! GGRRRR!!! I won't make that mistake again. Not the products fault but I just didn't realize it had a vent or that it expelled air that hot.

Great value
Great air fryer. We used it for 8 years without any decrease in performance. The plug prong broke today.

Life just got easier and healthier
I just got mine yesterday, so I am not sure about durability yet. The fryer was very well packed and there was nothing to do but put it on the counter and wash the basket parts and read the directions. I decided since it was my first use to make something I wouldn't care about much if I screwed up; so I cut up some potatoes added salt, skipped the oil entirely and went for it. Came out beautifully! I didn't use any foil or parchment and the clean up was 3 minutes. I work a long day and when I get home, the last thing I want to do is deal with pots and pans, cleaning a stove and standing in the kitchen to cook a meal. This is GREAT! I put the potatoes in, turned it on and went about my other drudgery, only returning after 10 minutes to shake the basket and then 10 minutes later when they fries were done. I had a leftover chicken cutlet (cooked the day before, the old fashioned way) and tossed that in for 5 minutes to crispy it up and I had a great meal! The 3.7 was larger than I expected. I estimate I can comfortably fit 3 chicken legs and thighs or 2-3 nice sized pieces of fish. Can't wait to go shopping today after work as I plan to try out a few of the recipes in the cook book GoWise provided. All the recipes look super easy, require very few ingredients and look yummy. My next is going to be the apple chips for snacks at work and I'm going to try a few other recipes over the weekend. I'll update as I try new things. Update: So now after a few weeks I can say this is the best thing I have ever purchased, I have made several different chicken dishes, steaks, many different vegetables, including cauliflower, asparagus, carrots and zucchini fries. Made pita chips a few times, apple chips and mini pizzas. I am an air-frying maniac. Everything came out really crispy and delicious. The only thing I used oil on was the pita chips and asparagus, and even then it was a light spray of olive oil. Today alone I made spicy chicken cutlets with panko, brussel sprouts with garlic, 2 bags of pita chips with onion and garlic powder, and roasted carrots. Going to make roasted baby eggplant later and crushed them into tomatoes, cilantro and jalapeno for the pita chips. All came out really nicely and I have lunch for work for the next few days! I am eating healthier, saving money and enjoying the creative process. Thinking of getting another so I won't have to work in so many batches. We'll see. One other thing: I bought the parchment paper. Not necessary for anything I have made so far. Don't think it's necessary. At 2 months now of almost daily use. Still my best friend. Have had no adverse situations. I actually dropped the basket on a very hard floor expecting it to be dented...but nope...was still fine!

First Day of Use it was awesome!!!
I got this air fryer as a Christmas present from my mom. I used it on Christmas night to make cut up chicken breast for lunch. Cut up the chicken, sprayed olive oil on it (using a Misto) and put some curry powder, tossed and in it went. The machine itself was super quiet and I was super impressed. Chicken came out well and I ate it for lunch with a salad on Wednesday at work. Clean up was easy, hand wash with soft side of sponge and done. Wednesday night I went to the store and got wings and bone in pork chops. I took down the air fryer, plugged it in and turned it on to pre heat and a HORRIBLE NOISE was emanating from it. Like the fan was hitting something. I turned off the machine, took out the basket and checked to see if the fan blade was rubbing against the heating element. It didnt appear to be the case. I shurgged and made the wings (they came out great) but the noise was still there. I also did pork chops for dinner. The noise got louder. I thought "this isn't normal" ... washed out the basket and put it back on the shelf. Before I went to bed I thought I would try one more time, maybe my basket was loose or something. So I checked. Everything tight and proper, checked the fan blade again to make sure no obstruction, plugged it in and it sounded like a propeller plane was about to take off. I immediately went online and started an exchange with Amazon. Sent that unit back on Thursday and the new one is delivering today. I hope it's okay because I really love the way the food comes out. Thanks to Amazon and amazing customer service I have confidence if it's not I will be able to return for a refund and then I'll get another brand. I wanted this one though because of the amount of reviews and ease of use. Fingers Crossed! (will update this when I get the new one). UPDATE 1/2/2019: I’ve been using it daily since the replacement came. Just a gentle whir of the fan and great food!! Looking forward to using it more. Between this and my Instant Pot I may give up the stove for a while

Great Machine
I'm not a cook or into cooking, so I've not used this the way most folks would. This "fryer" really saves time, and worked very well with what I've tried. It considerably shortened the time it takes to heat up frozen jalapeno poppers. When I was using my oven I would have to preheat the oven to 450 degrees - that took a long time. I'd cook the poppers for 8 minutes, take them out, turn them over and cook for another 7 minutes. With the air fryer, the poppers took 8 minutes at 400 degrees - no preheating, no turning over. I have the 3 quart fryer. I'm single, so I don't need a larger one. I've used it to cook: frozen mozzarella sticks, frozen tater tots, frozen potato wedges, frozen onion rings and frozen five-cheese bread. Eventually I'll try some of the many, many air fryer recipes you can find online. There's even a Facebook page of air fryer recipes. I doubt I'll ever buy an air fryer cookbook. Oh, and this fryer cleans up very easily. I don't put it in the dishwasher. I wash it with a soapy sponge in hot water. To know how long to cook each item, I googled them.

This appliance does so much so easily I can’t believe it !!
OMGosh. The only regret I have is that I didn’t buy this sooner. I bought the 3.7 qt Because I’m just one person however if I had a guest or two for dinner or snacks it is plenty big enough. I just got it today and of course had to use it so I will follow up later on after I’ve used it for more than one meal I used it tonight for a breaded pork chop and roasted broccoli ( made together ). Listen, this is the best invention since the mouse trap !! My pork chop was browned and crisp and juicy inside. The broccoli was slightly roasted brown on the tips and both were absolutely delish. I never knew the variety of foods and meals you can fix in an air fryer !! I’m a baby boomer and when I first saw these advertised I thought just another new fangled gadget. How can it fry with air and nearly no oil ?? I’m here to testify folks !! I spent the afternoon reading the cook book that comes with it and I’m blown away by the meals and items you can cook in this. Nearly anything you can fry or cook in your oven or stove top ! At first when I saw them on TV I thought so what! Why not just use my stove and oven! I’m here to tell you why First, of course, is the health issue, less fats But, other than that is your time. Dinner is cooked in half the time. Also, it’s cleaner. No spattered grease on your stove or yourself which makes it safer. Your meats, I will testify to my pork chop, are not dried out as sometimes in an oven or frying pan. Since food cooks faster, there must be vitamins that are preserved and flavor is preserved My chop was delishishly browned and crispy on the outside and juicy with a great flavor on the inside. Can’t wait to make French toast in the morning and buttermilk biscuits and I crave fried chicken and roast chicken Yes, this fryer is big enough for a whole small chicken and there are recipes for all this in the booklet that comes with the air fryer. Like I said. I can’t give a review on the durability yet and I just cooked one meal but I will follow up in a few weeks. I followed all instructions to wash the pot and basket before use and to run it for 5 minutes at 350 to rid any odor ( left from manufacturer) and it worked perfectly. No smells and operated easily and quietly. I’m very impressed!

all aboard the hype train! but for a good reason.
This is a great item, air fryers might seem over hyped right now, but this one is worth it. Its quick and easy to use for a lot of things and the clean up is very fast. There are a lot of different options out there right now, I got this one on sale and haven't been disappointed with the purchase yet. And yes, air fryers are basically convection ovens, but much more convenient and smaller form factor. Pros : - its a great way cook certain foods and reduce the fat. - wonderful for sausages, frozen fried chicken, French fries, tater tots, corn dogs, (Things like this) Much faster than using the oven to cook fries. - when cooking sausages i am always amazed how much fat is in the bottom catch pan and to think i used to be eating that. - super easy to clean, huge improve over cleaning pans for boiling sausages. - i feel like in general appliance plug in cords are always too short, but this one is long enough to plug it in and not have the unit right next to the plug. - its really easy to clean... super easy to clean when compared to a traditional fryer. Cons - it wont replace your deep fryer for certain things. if it needs to be boiled in oil then nothing will replace a fryer. - its another kitchen appliance that takes up space and isnt used everyday - it is made of plastic, this might be a turn off to some people - the controls are super easy once you realize what you need to to, you need to press the on button, then choose the cooking temp, then hit on again. but can be frustrating at first.

Had it less than a week, cooked 5 meals, SUPERB device and value!
Returned a 5qt other brand then found this 3.7qt, ideal for two. The size *seems* large until it finds its place. Really @12" wide, not the 8.25" pan diameter. So far, eggplant parmesan, buffalo wings, breaded shrimp, breaded bone/skinless chicken thighs, all super successes on first tries, and one unsuccessful attempt at potato chips. Super easy to clean; soak, wipe with sponge, rinse, dry with soft towel. Quite a few have reported problems with coated cooking surfaces chipping or flaking, but reason should suggest using non-metal utensils. On general principles, bought a roll of parchment (our grocery didn't stock round sheets) and, using a medium plate, marked numerous round sheets which I would cut and punch w/hand hole punch as needed. Operation is *REALLY SIMPLE* and uncomplicated, even for me, and cooking times seem less than traditional frying. A really nice, 50-item accompanying cookbook has some beautiful and interesting ideas! I'm beginning to feel really comfortable with fat-free cooking! The natural flavors are retained, and the crisp coatings are a delight. The outer surface does not get hot, barely warm, except at the back where a @2.5"x2.5" vent exhausts heated air. Only by holding your hand 2" away for secs could you get burned. No heat seems to emanate from the bottom, although I do place a cutting mat underneath it. Would seem to be a *REALLY ECONOMICAL* appliance as it can cook entrees for 4, has a heating element substantially smaller than an electric oven, and a lot smaller than a convection toaster oven. Would I buy this neat air fryer again ??? In a New York minute !!! Really looking forward to some creative cooking!

Fácil de usar y excelente resultado.
¡Me encantó! Súper fácil de usar y la comida queda rica y muy muy rápido, la mitad del tiempo de un horno convencional. Uso mínimo de grasa para que no se pegue y listo. Viene con un recetario con platillos muy ricos.

Excellent Product
This is my second Air Fryer from Go Wise and I am very impressed. I've purchased my second one only because the first one is perfect for two people but great to have a second when you have company or if you want to cook separate items. So far very happy with this purchase once again.

Worth buying as my regular equipment now
It's easy to use and as someone using this thing as a newbie I can refer to the cook book for similar food items. Somebody said the basket coating fell off, but actually at least for myself I just line it with aluminum foil all the time because I have only done chicken pieces, sweet potato and steak so far. The lining is in fact written somewhere in the manual for certain food like meat. The delivery was quick and efficient. I bought a certain steel rack specifically for decluttering my small living space and placing this air fryer of a suitable size for me living alone. As for the air frying process, it's just some hot air from the back. It warms up my entire room (my room is small) but it's totally acceptable. Personally, I'm not totally fit for (air) fried food but then this product is now a good supplement to my rice cooker. I'm not really sure but as far as I am concerned it is OK to use both at the same time without tripping the power. Also, I don't even change the foil every day. (Manual) cleaning is actually pretty easy like every other dish or large bowl. It certainly doesn't replace my cooking pan but for most meat that can be pan fried it does my requirement. I am yet to explore other food but I can say, as much as I don't need deep frying, potato wedges are easy too.
