THIS WORKS!
We were without 4WD in our ‘97 K1500 for 3 years thinking we had a bigger problem than we had. My wife did some searching and found this actuator. Simple install right up under the front end into the transfer case. Screw it in and plug in the cable and BOOM! 4WD has engaged!

Fixed my front axle not engaging with 4wd
Fixed my 1997 Suburban front axle, apparently there is two style actuators and it would be just my luck that all the trucks in the junkyard have the other style. My only issue with this one is it seems to engage slower than the factory one, but it has held up well and still working great months later!

Easy Install
The new actuator repaired my 4x4 not engaging problem. East 5 min replacement.

Fixed my 4x4
I had no idea my 4x4 wasn’t working until I went on a hunt in the snow and got stuck on an ice road. Thankfully someone pulled me out. If your truck blinks on the 4x4 light get this it takes 5 minutes tops to replace and was cheap fix. Thank you

Lasted Only One Winter Season Before Failing!
I purchased this item in late January of 2019. I didn't install it until late fall, early winter of 2019. The actuator failed just before the end of the 2020 year and don't think I even engaged it a dozen times over the 2019 -2020 winter season. I'm not very pleased with this product purchase and I hope Standard Motor Products reaches out to me to remedy my purchase. PJD from MN
