I absolutely love this diary. I’ve been filling it out daily to document memories for my newborn child to read five years from now, and it has quickly become a cherished part of my routine. The Midori MD paper quality is exceptional for the price. It handles a medium-nib fountain pen with smooth writing and no bleed-through. The daily space allocation is perfect for capturing the key moments or highlights of each day without feeling overwhelming. Occasionally, I do wish there were a little more room to write, but the constrained space helps keep the daily habit manageable over five years. As a side note on the layout, months with 31 days have an extra memo page at the end, but otherwise, there are no additional blank pages for notes. The binding, door design motif, and ribbon bookmarks give it a timeless, premium feel. If you're looking for a durable, high-quality multi-year journal to track milestones or daily growth, this is a wonderful choice.

I purchased the 10 yr for myself and this 5 yr for my daughter. The perfect size for keeping and gifting. The paper is of high Midori quality, the pages are thick enough to withstand fountain pens, there is no bleed-through, and the format is very easy to use. Overall, an excellent value and gorgeous keepsake.

I love this 5 year journal. The box arrived slightly damaged, but that wasn't a deal breaker to me. I imagine the box will get more beat up over the years, so I just glued the tear back together, no big deal. But that may bother some people who like pristine journals. The journal itself was in perfect condition, just the storage box had an issue. The cover of the journal seems very sturdy, and the gold foil debossing was a very nice and elegant touch. The paper quality of Midori products is always outstanding. Fountain pen friendly and very smooth. I love the layout of the 5 year journal- much better than other brands who seem to waste paper on large swathes of empty space. I really like the prologue and epilogue sections at the beginning and end of the journal to write goals and reflections for each year. That's a nice touch that was unexpected. I can't wait to get started on this journal!

I bought this because I’m trying to be more intentional about reflection instead of letting years blur together. The journal itself is really well developed and feels like something meant to last. The paper quality is excellent. I use acid-free archival pens, and the writing experience is one of my favorite parts. Overall Even without instructions, this is a beautifully made journal that makes me want to slow down and write. The feel in hand, the paper quality, and the long-term concept all come together really well.

This is a lovely way to end my day. I write the highlights of the day, and sometimes the low points! The size is just right for my nightstand, and to tuck into my carryon when I travel. The paper is smooth and just the right weight.
