OMG!!!! Where should I start..I usually don't leave reviews, but I felt this deserved one. This book had me giggling like a mad woman😂. It has the kind of story, that I wish, I could live in this book. NO KIDDING. If you're a fan of 90's RomCom movies, then this one will definitely make you feel as if you're watching a RomCom movie (note the point 90's level RomCom feel💗) I'm telling y'all right now, BETTER THAN THE MOVIES will not disappoint you. I had the best time reading this one and genuinely wish I could experience it for the first time again. And not to mention, not even a single piece of spicy level, still it will have you giggling, kicking your feet and falling in love. PURE ROMANCE! Also I just want to thank myself😌 for buying the Collector's Edition, coz just look at how PRETTY it is!!!😍🫠

I mean its perfect if you are around 18 or 18+. The story is kinf of perfect not sad not spicy but its kind of make a blush and yaa giggles on your face . And if you are entring your collage i would say its a must

Oh my God,😍😍 I picked up this book purely because of its title, expecting it to be Better Than the Movies, and somehow, it actually was. I was feeling completely overwhelmed by everything that was happening in my life, so I decided to read something that might make me feel a little better, and honestly, it did exactly that. This book gave me the comfort and happiness I didn’t even realize I needed. I would genuinely recommend it to anyone who’s feeling weighed down by life or struggling with the reality of things, because stories like this have a way of making you smile, even if it’s just for a little while. And for this one, go ahead and judge the book by its title..I promise, it absolutely lives up to it.♥️♥️❤️‍🩹

The main character, Liz, is relatable, and the chemistry with her love interest is adorable. It’s a perfect mix of humor, heart, and sweet romance, with a nostalgic, movie-inspired vibe. A feel-good, unmissable read that’ll leave you smiling!

What I got was a delightful surprise: a story so well-written, so emotionally resonant, and so full of charm that I found myself completely swept away. YA often has great ideas, fun plots, lovable characters, but the execution can feel too juvenile for adult readers. Not here. Lynn Painter nails the tone with sharp dialogue, layered characters, and a narrative that balances comedy, romance, drama, and nostalgia in just the right proportions. It reminded me of the time when I was the target audience for YA, and somehow made me feel like I still am. Even though it’s written for teens, this book speaks to anyone who’s ever had a crush, a complicated friendship, or a soundtrack to their coming-of-age. If you’re in your 30s, 40s, or beyond, don’t let the genre label fool you, this one’s for you too. It brought back memories I didn’t know I’d tucked away, and made me laugh out loud more than once. I thoroughly enjoyed it and immediately dove into the sequel. Five stars from me, and I can’t wait to explore more of Painter’s work. If this is what YA can be, I’m officially back in.
